Texasball Posted August 28, 2018 Report Share Posted August 28, 2018 In the inaugural States Play baseball 3 games series featuring the best of the best high school players from California and Texas - (Texas won 2 games to 1) The Texas team had 8 players from the DFW area on the teams - 3 of them from Colleyville Heritage. Game one - (9-6) TX Game two (9-1) TX Game 3 (8-2) CA Games played at Globe Life Park Colleyville Heritage senior Bobby Witt is projected #1 overall pick 2019 Draft He was named most outstanding players of the series - Hit home runs in both of the wins for Texas He has had very productive summer In July he won the High School home run derby at Nationals Park in Washington DC beating IMG Academy's Race Hinds 8-7 in the finals Week later after the home run derby win - He hit 3-run homer and was named MVP of the game during the Under Armour All-American game at Wrigley Field in Chicago He was awarded the Jackie Robinson Award for being the national player of the year. For the record the Texas team who made the little league World Series went 1-2 losing 2 games by 1 run each and last was in extra innings when they had 3 run lead going into the bottom 6th which was the final inning - lol they had 2 outs and nobody on and still gave up 3 runs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
