Knowing as we do that the biggest  indicate of future wealth for a person at birth is their parent socioeconomic standing makes clear that until minorities are born into a similar socioeconomic level as are whites we have work still to do.

This is directly attributed to three factors:

1. Blacks have a higher dropout rate in high school.

Graduation rates vary greatly by state and race. Nationwide, black students graduated at a rate of 69 percent; Hispanics graduated at 73 percent; whites graduated at a rate of 86 percent.

2. Blacks have a higher unemployment rate than whites..... about 2-1 currently.

African-American unemployment remains about twice as high as white unemployment. Over the past 12 months, black unemployment averaged 7.4 percent, compared to an average of 3.7 percent for whites.

3. African American more likely not to have biological father in their life. Here’s a quote from that refrigerator light bulb Don Lemon

"Just because you can have a baby, it doesn't mean you should," Lemon said. "Especially without planning for one or getting married first. More than 72 percent of children in the African-American community are born out of wedlock. That means absent fathers. And the studies show that lack of a male role model is an express train right to prison and the cycle continues."

More figures:

Broken down by race, however, the statistics show stark differences.  The percentage of White children under 18 who live with both parents almost doubles that of Black children, according to the data. While 74.3 percent of all White children below the age of 18 live with both parents, only 38.7 percent of African-American minors can say the same.

So it’s pretty simple..... Stay in school. Get a job. And wrap it up.

Did you really miss it?

The reason that blacks have "More than 72 percent of children in the African-American community are born out of wedlock, have a higher unemployment, have a higher dropout rate in high school".,...  is because they are born into this very environment.  Don't you realize whites would have the same rates if they wee born into the same circumstances?

Do you really not understand? (asking sincerely)

Are those three factors really THAT hard to fucking change?

Its called taking accountability rather then playing the victim card.

So we still need affirmative action in 2019 in academia, Countless corporate industries, in military/navy, police and fire departments etc etc etc

How much longer is affirmative action required in this country to right these so called wrongs? Forever?

High school education is free...

Getting and Staying married is free...

Jobs are there for those willing...although that takes 'some' discipline and is not free...

No matter how you slice it, throwing 'money' at the issues are not going to change them...

And no...being born into those circumstances, do NOT prevent you from taking advantage of those 'freedoms' that our society allows....

Yeah you must have 'missed it'.....

Of course it is.Do you think people would choose to not raise themselves up if they knew how?

If only life were so simple.... you know this thought process is arrogance born of ignorance? Honest.

I "get" you are being honest, you truly don't "get it."

Do you think black parents don't want what is best for their kids?

People know what they have learned. What they have lived.

I already answered. We need programs that integrate minorities into the main stream at various levels until we have parity of opportunity  for all.

You position is selfish and arrogant and you don't even realize it.

This always devolves into the same GROUPING where people think they cannot agree....

Quota's, adjustments of standards, and 'bending of rules' should not be tolerated...

as that is counterproductive and only feeds the cycle...

Outreach programs that seek to integrate and bring those children UP to societal standards...

is the only way to make them 'truly equal'....

Most can generally agree when "Affirmative Action" is not truly misrepresented.....

just sayin'

And, how is that anyone's fault but theirs? Who's fault is it that new HUD apartment complexes are built on the taxpayers dime, and 5 years later they are a drug ridden shit-hole, full of "dont want to be employed" government tit suckers dropping a baby every other year?

My mother was eating mush twice a day, and picking cotton 12 hours a day when she was 7 years old. Worked until she was 70. Ive worked as many as 2 1/2 jobs to make ends meet in the old days.

With all of the govt help out there to better yourself, luneducated, lazy mother fuckers get zero sympathy from me.

So your theory is that inner city blacks are "lesser"people" genetically. Got it.

the idea that you and your mom have greater valor than those awful "inner city" folks is self serving ignorance.

You need to thank God that your tribe did not face systemic racism and that your adaptive  strategies evolved in what society deems acceptable and even admirable.
