In other words a non Top 50 team should not creep into the Top 50 unless they gat a relevant win, not because a team ahead of them lost to a fellow Top 50 team.

Unless said top 50 team gets blown out by the other. They could certainly drop then. Not always, but most of the time.

I definitely have bias but I don't think there's a team in Tennessee or maybe even Ohio that would beat Trinity this year. Honestly, Male, this Friday, is going to be the best team they face this year. I like seeing the respect for them, just wish they'd play a good team other than Trinity. If the game on Friday was at Trinity, fairly easy win, but Male's field has a literal hump in the middle (for water drainage). Sitting in the visitor stands you can't see the out of bounds on the other side, it's that bad.

Oakland could certainly beat Trinity. They have been on a tear just like the Rocks have been. That would be a hell of a game.

I think their game with Male will be a good one. Especially, after Male dismantled St. X the way they did.

First time X has had a running clock put on them at home since 2004.

I didn’t even make it past the Top 20. As soon as I saw DeMatha at #13 was enough for me, and I’m a supporter of the program. No way are they Top 20, and no way should they be ranked higher than Gonzaga at the moment. Not saying they aren’t better than Gonzaga, I don’t think so, but no way should they be ranked higher.

Well, I hope I’m not that far off with  the Stags. I guess I’ll know for sure after this weekend’s game with St. Iggy.

Like I said...not always, but most of the time. Losing by 16 points to MD at their place is not going to make a team plummet in my poll.

Thats another thing you can improve on.  The final score is sometimes not indicative of what actually took place.

We were at the game and In Q2 we were talking about a running clock being put on SFA.  The score was 24-6 on the way to 31-6 at the start of the 3rd.  Poggi took his headphones off in Q2 and pretty much conceded the game during his halftime interview.

I can point to another game where the same thing happened, but I am not going to comment on small market teams today.

Bergen Catholic traveled to play St Thomas Aquinas ...game was cancelled because of the hurricane.....and yes they were there with no game to play

🤨

Are you on the pipe? The cancellation came on Wednesday night for a Saturday night game.

You're not suggesting that Bergen Catholic flew to Florida on Wednesday afternoon for a Saturday game while a Hurricane was closing in? And then just hung around for a day with their fingers in their ass until the game was cancelled?

I agree, the game was definitely not as close as the final score. SFA’s last TD was pretty much given to them by MD playing a soft defense. Also, SFA’s second TD was scored after the refs blew an obvious fumble by SFA. That MD recovered at SFA’s 25 and more than likely would have scored. That game was a blowout.

Not to mention that Mater Dei was rotating their 2's into the game in Q3

MD is going to do that to everyone else on their schedule but SJB. I’m not going to penalize SFA too harshly for losing that badly to them. Especially, with that dominating win over Miami Central on the road on their resume.  Now, if it happens again they will most certainly drop.

On a side note, I did enjoy watching SFA’s running back that game.

I totally agree with not penalizing SFA.  I wouldn’t penalize them at all.  They are still one of the top

3- 5 teams in the Country.

Their #24 was a shifty guy with a real good burst.

Can we drop MD based on their performance against SJC
