not that it matters a ton in the scheme of things, but West Monroe is listed as Tier 6 and dropping out...  maybe just a forecast of things to come  😏

Tier 6.  They are prolly better than that.  Having a good season.  Longview losing hurts and WM has no other relevant games so far to post a marquee win

And should make a thread acknowledging this miss.

It's not a miss.  Based on results so far, including the head to head match up, SJC has shown to be 2 scores better.  However OLGC has been trending up.  The Tiers did catch this, and moved them a Tier over Gonzaga and DeMatha even though everyone else thinks they should be on the same Tier.

The Tiers had SJC down in Tier 3 for a few weeks so SJC was not a solid Tier 2 team.

Because that's who you sound like with your twisting and fabrication.

The Tiers purpose is not to predict matchup game winners and losers, but to properly place teams based on their resume and not their won loss records.

By using multiple data points The Tiers also have been effective in identifying trends much sooner than the mainstream polling services

Next year, we should base the Tiers on how great the bands perform at halftime

So let's discuss Cen10 resume.  What makes them tier 4?

According to his silly tiers Pickerington Central should lose by 40.  Lol!!!

*Basically there is a -10 point drop between tiers.  Could vary from a TD to 3 scores depending on the styles of teams playing.  This does not necessarily mean that there is a 30 point difference between Tier 1 and Tier 3, only that the chances of a Tier 3 team beating a Tier 1 team are exponentially less than the chances of a Tier 2 Team beating a Tier 1 team

Remind us again what the score was between Servite and Gorman?

I’m fine with that, Mentor earned it

Elder & PC to low BTW

Like you said about matchups PC a tough one for Mentor next week

Agree with you on the Mentor/PC matchup. Most were assuming that the Mentor/Ed's game was the defacto state championship. PC probably has more D1 guys than Ed's does, and they appear to finally be playing up to their preseason expectations. Unless Mentor gets the same officiating crew as last week, this one will be a tough game. 😉

What's the likelihood of getting SJC back here next year vs north shore or Katy?  Actually I'd love to see any of the WCAC teams here.

Because we all know that nobody from Texas would go there.

I still maintain that the most obvious sign of insecurity was how much the Texas crew creamed themselves over a win against a 7-5 St. John's team.

Well you would know something about insecurities

You live a mountain of that everyday of your life

It’s not as strong as your insecurity to cream yourself when you believe you’re saying something clever to a Texan.

Maybe Servite should be in Tier 1 then due to the SJB game.

Thats the prob with narrowing your criteria to a single point of data

2019 - St John Bosco 27 - Servite 26

2018 - St John Bosco 35 - JSerra 28

2017 - St John Bosco 21 - St John 17

2016 - St John Bosco 20 - Gorman 35

This should offer a tad of assistance

Just wanted to commend Sammy on not caving into the numerous calls to put MD into tier 0 by themselves. Only a true HSFB fan with decades of experience could stay strong under such immense pressure from the unwashed masses.

I'm looking forward to seeing which tier 1 teams will have an asterisk next to their names this week. I have a few guesses, but I'm a sucker for surprises.
