954gator
What separates it from your average elite offense is the QB. Not only is he a great passer, but he's way more athletic than people give him credit for especially with that size. He's a threat to run every play. AztecPadre
I admit I was one that thought he was not going to be a good runner. I was way wrong.
Mjd33
Having an athletic qb that can hold the DE's on reads are critical for the cc offense.

Not going to take it for 6 often, but he uses it to extend drives. It's dangerous enough to cause the LB to follow his every move which opens the middle of the field for slants and hb runs. They play much better defense than they get credit for when you score 70, is it really bad defense, intentional strategy or sportsmanship to let the other team score 30? They lose by one 50-49 still bad defense.. Not the best defense for sure but also their style of play leads to more opportunities because of how quickly they score

Maybe a bit better when they have athletes on the defensive side (like the 08' one led by Will Sutton and Burfict). Hell just watch some games against DLS and shake your head at some of the schemes they employ. "Hey we're playing a veer offense, OK D line we want you 3-4 yards off the ball, that'll slow em down!"

Dang that year they were nasty. I still wish Taylor had played like safety or wr in college. He would have been in the nfl with his skills. Coletrain06
I would think most schools, even the really great ones, only have so much talent to spread around. When you have so much talent on one side of the ball, the other side isn't gonna balance out......unless you are truly exceptional and/or have a stacked/recruited team. In Ohio, Mentor and Elder usually have some the best offenses, but also usually have some of the worst defenses. Usually really great defensive teams run more ball control oriented offenses that are generally not very explosive.
Belly Bob
Illegitimate video because it uses MP and CP rankings. If it's not ECHS's rankings, then I'm not interested.
Belly Bob
Who remembers when ECHS said that CC's offense only works because they play soft CA teams? Who remembers when ECHS said that we were all gonna be surprised by IMG's defense? I guess he was thinking that if IMG's defense is good in GA, it must be great in CA.

I understand where you're going w this post. But in img's defense wasn't there a hurricane and the game was almost cancelled? The game was on than off ... than back on. So they got off the flight and basically played the game. That being said Corona centennial is the most dangerous opponent for IMG because their advantage of having more 5 star studs than you (which will beat 99.99% of teams in the country) goes out the window due to CC's offensive scheme....
BobbySanchez
Really interesting, Corona Centennial lit up the two teams (Chandler and IMG) who both squandered the two Georgia State Champion heavyweights Valodosta and Grayson. It can seem like Corona is just playing teams with bad defense but how fast that offense goes usually equates to more plays in the game. No team in the history of whatever has any advantage over a team with littered with 5-stars everywhere. It was a competitive game, and CC definitely benefited from that delay. However, credit should given when due. CC's no huddle offense is intense. Somebody asked Dylan Moses what they thought of CC after the game and he literally said, "It was super intense, we weren't really prepared for how fast it went".
