I feel you brother. My opinion is that both sides need to move beyond party lines and work together to achieve something that is good or everyone.

Not gonna happen, sadly.

When the GOP converted to the GQP under Trump the Dem's became compelled to respond in kind or lose their share of the power dynamic. So far, they have not responded in kind which leaves them at a distinct disadvantage.

Reminds me of when Paramus Catholic in NJ started "cheating" to build their program.

Let's hope that history repeats itself and that when the "cheat" moves on things return to normal.

the dems are about to pass a huge infrastructure bill with no Republican support that will strengthen their party big time for the future...this bill is a game changer IMO....something Trump talked about for 4 years but did nothing about.

Apparently Bormio just makes stuff up while providing no support for anything he says.

Based on reports, I'd say that these are probably Afghans, some with American-born children, who don't have visas and/ passports.

The Taliban Have Stopped Planes Of Evacuees From Leaving Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — At least four planes chartered to evacuate several hundred people seeking to escape the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan have been unable to leave the country for days, officials said Sunday, with conflicting accounts emerging about why the flights weren't able to take off as pressure ramps up on the United States to help those left behind to flee.

An Afghan official at the airport in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif said that the would-be passengers were Afghans, many of whom did not have passports or visas, and thus were unable to leave the country. He said they had left the airport while the situation was sorted out.

Residents of Mazar-e-Sharif also said the passengers were no longer at the airport. At least 10 families were seen at a local hotel waiting, they said, for a decision on their fates. None of them had passports or visas but said they had worked for companies allied with the U.S. or German military. Others were seen at restaurants.

Blinken: Taliban not blocking departure for U.S. passport, visa holders

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday the Taliban is not blocking those with valid travel documents from leaving Afghanistan but conceded that some outgoing flights, including for a group at an international airport in the northern part of the country, have been stalled.

The flights out of Afghanistan have seemingly been held back, Blinken said, as those eligible evacuees remain intermixed with other people who are seeking to flee the country but are not in possession of the necessary documentation.

“There are groups of people who are grouped together, some of whom have the appropriate travel documents — an American passport, a green card, a visa — and others do not,” Blinken told reporters at a news conference in Doha, Qatar.

“It’s my understanding that the Taliban has not denied exit to anyone holding a valid document, but they have said that those without valid documents at this point can’t leave,” Blinken said. “But because all of these people are grouped together, that’s meant that flights have not been allowed to go.”

Not even Blinken believes that pantload.

So both sides agree to what is going on and the people themselves are hanging out at their hotels and outside at restaurants waiting for a resolution....

But Bormio doesn't believe *any* of it!

He'll continue to believe his completely made-up cockamamie story.

The flights were chartered by a private group. They were done with the intent on getting *those* particular people out.

You clowns are once again ASSuming that it's the Taliban keeping the plane from taking off with just the documented people and not, you know, the people paying for the charter.

But I guarantee that if they decided of their own free will to leave those people behind that you'd whine about that too.
