No they don't. There is so much assistance in this country you don't have to resort to anything. Thats a crutch

Go to a food kitchen. They are open everyday and get your family fed. No reason for crime.

Assistance is a good thing. It is our duty to help those in need. And yes, food kitchens are viable options. However, they are not widely available across the country. Yes, they exist, but not in the places where we could use them most. For those who don't have a car or mode of transportation because they can't afford it, getting to and from food kitchens can be its own challenge. As a result, robberies become easier. I'm not saying this is the case with everyone, but it is the case with some.

Our duty to help?

No in this society it is your duty to get up go to work and take care of you.

People are responsible for themselves

I hope I'm dead. I hardly agreed with my generation. I def don't agree with anything your generation is doing

I always spoke to people who are older than me mostly people in their 50s and 60s. Thats who I found common ground with

A sad wish, but I cannot stop you. Change will not always please everyone. I guess the older generations will not be pleased, but it's the best we can do. The goal of each generation from here on out is to leave the planet it good or better shape for the next generation.

We had great things. Its getting worse over time. America socially is not better today. Our education isn't better today.

Like i said I def don't agree with anything ur generation agrees with.

I disliked many in my own generation and never really spoke to them as I didn't agree with them either.

The older generation had it right. And its been fucked up

True, but for those who are not financially able to take care of themselves, it is our duty to help them and give them the opportunities they need to get a job. Sort of like a platform. And if you tell them to get a job, I could ask you the same. Why haven't you chosen a higher-paying job? If it's that easy to get a job, why haven't you applied for one that pays better? We both know it would benefit you more.

Of course, I disagree. But I would say that we are better socially than we were 100-150 years ago. Our education is better and is cultivating stronger minds for the future. We cannot hate on our educational system because it doesn't produce minds that think like the older generation did. And it's alright that you don't agree with us, because we are not trying to please anyone. We are trying to improve this planet.

No its their duty not to be a burden on society. As what I said before there is crazy assistance but its at a price on society. Billions of dollars spent on these people.

I've applied to many jobs. And the jobs I get don't work out. I have my own personal issues that keep me from climbing the financial ladder. I also have a mindset that I will not give my life away to some job. Ive seen the misery of giving your life to some job day in and day out.

no way are we better today. Have you looked into the streets and the BS. Wouldnt have this 150 years ago.

You talk about crime and punishment. Go look back on that 150 years ago.

America has been ruined by lawyers and politicians. Politicians have been fucking up America for more than 100 years.

As you work your ass off daily they are millionaires off our dimes. While they shoved healthcare down your throat they don't pay for it

Our education for the amount of money we spend on it is in the crapper. We have college students who don't know basic info. Just YouTube that. It'll scare the hell outta you

But you miss the actual crux of the problem. The country depends on low wage workers to keep costs low. If the low wage workers don't have kids you can bet your bottom dollar the business interests would and have lobbied mightily to import more low wage workers. How about a novel suggestion: increase wages for those low wage workers so they can afford the basics of life. Right off the bat you would ameliorate the childcare crisis and you would also reduce crime and blight. Has it occurred to you that maybe, just maybe if the poor had the basics of life, we probably would not need to spend so much money on law enforcement as crime would be reduced.

Getting control over the illegal working population would help.  Less supply = higher wages.

And let's face facts, the modern welfare state is what has caused many of these issues.  If having a baby equals getting a check, then people are less likely to have kids responsibly. And employers can pay less because they are government-subsidized.

It depends on what job. I would like a job that aligns with my interests and is something I love doing. I don't expect anyone to enjoy a job they didn't want to do in the first place. And getting a job is much easier said than done, especially when you are very poor and don't have the necessary education.

What will happen imo is that the job will destroy ur interest in it as it will become mundane and repetitive over the course of years and so it would destroy that interest

For me I am a history buff. I read alot. Watch alot. Talk about it alot.

But if i had a job where thats all I did 24/7 it would become the same old same old everyday. And I personally can't live like that

In terms of rights for minorities and women, this world has been greatly improved upon. And politicians have been messing it up since the beginning of time. I am fully aware about the cost of college as well, which is why my goal is to earn academic scholarships. However, college is a necessity, because it provides the valuable life skills necessary to end up successful and not homeless. The more people that are educated, the less that are below the poverty line, and the less that will need assistance. I'm surprised you're not in support of college.

History buff, eh? I just took AP US History this past year and it was very interesting. History is pretty cool, even if it happened a long time ago.

But isn't the point of a job to work long hours during the week and get paid for it? In order to get more money, you need to work longer. You can't expect to work short hours and get paid the same as those who put in 40 hours a week.

This shit sadly is all a hoax to make Trump look bad. The survival rate so high there are people now questioning if it’s real or did they just rename a preexisting Virus.

They obsess on the word “cases”. They do that because people are being asked to come back in a few days, and weeks to keep monitored. The “cases” are being tallied for every visit. So someone who has the Biden Virus May count for 3-5 “cases” alone

Now someone blew the doors off that they were cooking the books to make it look worse.

And left wingers are already on record with wanting to crash the economy to make Trump look bad.

This is a trial run for socialism that is running on schedule with getting their puppet in office to install it

College is not necessary depending on your skill set.

If your good with your hands look into labor jobs. They will pay for u to go to their schools and you won't have tens of thousand of dollars in debt like your friends and youll make 6 figures faster than them

College is a joke. At least from my experience and i went to 3 of them for 2 different things.

College is just theory and bullshit.

I was an honors history student in high school. I got A and Bs while basically sleeping. Its not hard to pass school. Matter of fact its quite easy in the subjects ur interested in. If not interested its gonna be harder obv.

See thats the problem. No the point of my job is not to take away my life so the higher ups can make significantly more money because I'm bringing in more money for them

I should be able to enjoy my job. I never have but maybe others have.

So go down the road that you said about working longer and when ur 60 look back and say wete did my life go. Oh yeah that's right I worked every minute of it. Sucks right

To some people, college is not a joke. And just because you may feel that way doesn't mean others will. To me, college is an opportunity to learn more, meet new people, and get the hands-on experience I need (in labs and such) to prepare me for the future. After scholarships, I may only be paying under $7,000 a year based on how scholarships work here in Georgia. To me, this is a relatively small price to pay for such a large growth.

Good luck with that. Im sure you will find it to be a joke. You will pass many classes in ur sleep.

I've had several teachers fired from their jobs in college because they can't do their jobs

The problem with college is that you need a degree to be eligible for certain jobs. Fuck experience. Companies would rather have some fucktard with no experience fresh out of liberal boot camp running things over someone who didn’t graduate college but works with the company for 10 years and can do their job blindfolded. All because the requirement states you need that piece of paper that says you know how to allow left wing propaganda fill you brain for 4 years.

Very true. Something I completely disagree with when it comes to that practice but that's reality

It doesn't suck if you choose the right job. For me, my interest is in sports and biomedical engineering. If I get a job in either one, I will consider my life not wasted. I have a goal, and I will work towards making it happen. My life will not be wasted by mindless work.

I partially disagree. I agree that passing school is easy. But excelling in school is very hard, especially depending on your courseload. I had to struggle every day to get an A in a sophomore-level college class that I took as a junior in high school. But interest certainly helps. For example, I'm very interested in math, so it comes much easier to me than others do.

Depends on which college you go to. If you go to a good college, you won't be able to sleep, both in classes and in your dorm room lol. There's a stark difference between going to Georgia Tech and going to Mississippi Valley and State University.

Good luck with the sports route. Very hard to get into. Def something I looked into many times.

You don't have to excel. As nolebull said all u need is that piece of paper. Im telling you your gonna see one of 2 people in college. The kids who want to excel and are stressed out daily popping pills and shit to get through the day and the other people who are doing what they do to get their passing grades and move on.

It is not left-wing propaganda. It is called skills. And yes, you are right about needing a degree for work. It shows that you are qualified enough to do your job. Without a degree, companies would be taking a risk on you, so it's safer to just pick someone who is tested to be good at what they do.
