Upper Arlington was not 14 and 1.  You are thinking Springfield.

nptb17, long time no talk hope all well.

this year Ohio went to 16 games so UA  indeed was 14-1 and Springfield was 13-2 they had one bye week

Chardon was first team in Ohio history to be 16-0 and Marion Local followed up at 16-0

How would you guys rank Ohio end of year.

I just looked at everybodys results and it didnt make it any clearer.

Obviously Eds #1......after that, Im not sure theres any real good justification for any order. Throw Medina, Upper Arlington, Pick Central, Springfield, Moe, X, and West in a hat and pick them in any order you want.

Yeah I like Eds #1 and really think Springfield just ran into a well played game by Eds so SP clear #2 IMO.

Eds D held #1-3 Mr Ohio players teams to only 3 TD’s the last 3 games which is something. Allar, Smoot & UA RB in that order.

the other teams mentioned could all have an argument for 3-10 rankings

Not bad.  Except there is no way on Gods green earth that Collin Hills would be Servite or SJB.  No way.

Honestly after Mater Dei, it is an open scramble for positions with every team in the remaining top 20 with an argument for a higher rating.   Collins Hill, as you are aware, just completed an undefeated run through Georgia's Class 7A one of the toughest divisions in the country.    They dominated a very good Milton team in the final.    I watched both Servite and Bosco play several times this season and quite honestly am not sure either could beat Centennial.    So, again, arguments could be made for almost all teams in that ranking area.

Unbelievable how you can watch but not see.

You pump up Collins Hill and bash SJB and Servite.   Just dumb.

I do not see an open scramble among the top 20. If you swap Centennial with Duncanville, there are arguments to be made for anyone being placed anywhere inside the top 9.

Center Grove at #11 struggled with three teams this year. 7-4 Lawrence North nearly knocked them out in the second round of playoffs, and it was LN's first time being there in over 30 years. CG was outgained, and was held to just 270 yards of offense. They were in serious jeopardy of losing that game. The other two were against the #2 and #3 teams in the state, but it's Indiana. Lawrence North is about the 10th best team in Indiana.

If a team has struggled to beat anyone outside the top 50, I don't believe they have an argument to be anywhere near #2.

My comments were for Coletrain but since you replied I agree on your #1

and am sticking with my #2

Chardon at #9 is a joke and would lose to the top 4 Ohio D2 teams

PC being one dimensional on Offense is every D coordinators dream as demonstrated last year by X and this year by several teams

Upper Arlington Is a well coached team so top 3/4 team deserved

😀

Agreed on PC. They were not a top three this year. My year end top ten (with more weight being given to how teams were playing by years end):

1. St. Edward

2. Springfield

3. Moeller (This may be shocking to some, but their defense was playing fantastic and they had dynamic offensive playmakers too. If the TE Kattus wasn't lost to injury, I think they could have beaten Springfield)

4. Lakota West

5. Upper Arlington

6. Medina

7. St. X

8. Pick Central

9. Ignatius

10. Winton Woods (D2 was way down this year, but their performance against Hoban was maybe the best of the state champions)

I like this ranking.

I would probably switch Upper Arlington and Moe.

I was going to mention how much better Winton Woods was playing at seasons end. They avenged their earlier losses to La Salle and Kings in the playoffs, and probably would have done the same to Anderson. Took them a while to get comfortable with a new coaching staff, but I think they now have potential to be a problem in D2 for a while. They've always had tons of talent, but undisciplined play always cost them in big games. Looks like Murphy has started to change that.

My bad.  Good job catching them.  If I noticed them, I probably would have complained they were to high.  LOL

Just don't get carried away with an overreaction.

I had them at #102. They’ll definitely enter the top 100 now. Question is how far do I drop Collins Hill after that upset?

Will not.   It is satisfying though when you identify a team that comes out of nowhere and makes a hit on the big stage.  Every year it is always some team somewhere that has never been a player on the national stage that just hits the radar.   Makes all this fun and I am sure Vol will agree with me that that is the only reason we do this.
