Wingo is huge pull.....he made the SEC All-Freshman Team this past year and gives LSU 2 DL guys that made the SEC All-Freshman Team.

DL

Maason Smith, LSU

Shemar Turner, Texas A&M

Mekhi Wingo, Missouri

Alex Huntley, South Carolina

Wingo is 6-0 285 lbs......looks more like a LB. Nice film, he's quick for a bigger guy.

That's a lot of Cajun's.......

...3 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have transferred to the Florida Gator/Billy Napier

...2 Ragin Cajuns have transferred to LSU

...1 Ragin Cajun may transfer to the USC Trojan.

...1 Ragin" Cajun has transferred to TCU

...1 Ragin' Cajun has transferred to Texas St

...1 Ragin' Cajun has transferred to UTEP

Looking like the Cajun will NOT be so good in 2022.....losing all their players and lost their Head Coach.

  • RedZone changed the title to LSU is Ranked #1 in Team Transfer Portal Rankings AND Other Portal News.

Rivals has a Transfer Portal Impact Meter.

Sign of the times..

IMPACT METER

The Transfer Portal continues to change the way college football programs recruit and manage their rosters so we here at Rivals.com continue to evolve our coverage. Each time a player of note enters the portal, we will examine their potential impact on the college football landscape and assign an impact rating, both when they enter the portal and when they choose a destination. The scale is from 1-10 and the description below explains the scoring scale.

1.1-4.0 — Not a big impact expected, likely a non-starter and down the bench depth player.

4.1- 6.0 — A solid impact can be expected in the right scenario and has the potential to battle for a starting job.

6.1-9.0. — A high impact player who won’t change a program but will certainly be a very good contributor and starter.

9.1- 9.9 — A very high impact player who should start the moment he steps on the field and will change the outlook of a program immediately.

10 — A franchise transfer who has a chance to be an All American and one of the elite players in college football.

USC has moved up to 3rd on this list and if the LB and QB get on board will probably be #1

Yeah, USC is killing the Portal also........lots of teams are pulling some impact players.

..2022 will be crazy and I guess we will see what HC can put it ALL together.

I wasn't feeling all that great about LSU in 2022, but my opinion is changing a little. We could win 8-10 games.

Seems like Caleb would go ahead and pull the trigger on USC if he was headed there...... he's probably just enjoying the drama and moment.

I have as much chance playing QB at LSU as Caleb this fall and my eligibility expired decades ago.

Not sure what the hold up to uscw is, save he’s trying to drive his price up. Somebody here said they had a 6M NIL package for him so I am not sure wtf he is waiting on?!?

Interesting read from Jan 19....

"‘NFL, not NIL’ is the guiding light of what the family is doing," Thamel said. "They want to go to the place that best prepares him for the NFL and best prepares him to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.”
