St Aug really has no football facilities........they just don't have what a lot of schools have and they have been searching for that right coaching fit/staff. Nick Foster is the head coach now, his second year. He's an Edna Karr guy. Seems like St Aug changes coaches every couple of years. When St Aug runs on the field people say DAMN..... I wish could coach them. Coaching isn't all that easy though 😃 I'm sure there are lots of teams around the nation like that.

There are no experts here. 🙂 "According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Mathieu's deal with New Orleans is a 3-year contract, worth $33 million, with $18 million fully guaranteed. Hope they clear this with the LHSAA I’ll be damned if they’re going all the way to Oregon to play 30 minutes and not 48 😂 Rule 6.3.3 and 6.10.4 in the LHSAA handbook deal with this situation
Ga96
I'd like more high school football on sports networks. Would be nice if they could make it like college game day with the fans special guest etc... Get the full high school football experience. Other countries love high school football. I'll take it over golf, nascar, lacrosse, field hockey, hockey, and the wnba.

Statewide, A Florida network does a weekly tv show statewide in season, showing key games info, rankings etc. (might be NBC actually… I forget). Late 70’s NJ was doing a weekly HSFB show… with highlights and interviews. They also aired some games. This was public power NJ at the time btw. I watched often with my Dad back in the day. Suburban Cablevision/TV3 Essex County, but covered North Jersey overall well especially. Bruce Beck referring to others he worked with in attachment. Bob Lee was handling the weekly HSFB show hosting as I recall. 1978-79 period, then off to ESPN and their new sports channel. @Adam Kurkjian

All I saw from the post is that they consistently produce NFL players, and have a number of college prospects on their current roster, including multiple SEC-capable athletes. #17 in the state seemed low to me. St Aug also plays in the toughest district in Louisiana......the NOLA Catholic League. The NOLA Catholic League added Edna Karr this year which makes it even tougher. Catholic League or not...with the athletes they get...they should have another one by now. But then again...Rummel didn't win one until the Split. RedZone
Last time St Aug was on TV they beat John Curtis 29-28 on ESPN with Big Leonard in 2013. John Curtis won 3A/D2 that year and of course St Aug is 5A/D1. STA, FL beat John Curtis that year 27-13......... Maybe St Aug will work some TV magic vs Desoto......doubtful, but you never know. Computer had St Aug #6 in Louisiana in 2013. St Aug should have won D1 that year, but Rummel upset St Aug in the playoffs.....St Aug beat us (Rummel) by 2 TDs in the regualr season. That St Aug squad probably had close to 25 D1s in the senior/junior classes. 6 St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA) team preview trend Louisiana 5A District 9 I 9-2 5-0 (1st) 6-1 56.6 45.6 85-51 WINS: #65 Curtis [John] (River Ridge, LA) (29-28), #110 Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA) (35-21), #470 Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA) (33-30), #499 Covington (LA) (40-27), #706 Jesuit (New Orleans, LA) (34-14), #706 Jesuit (New Orleans, LA) (54-38), #1753 Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA) (49-21), #1835 Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, LA) (33-14), #2033 McDonogh #35 (New Orleans, LA) (47-12), LOSSES: #110 Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA) (31-28), #138 Karr [Edna] (New Orleans, LA) (33-24)
