Bozo Tried to put together a “Championship” Game Between BG and IMG for $10k and his fake trophy, but BG told him no…. OldTerrapin Posted December 16, 2023 Report Share Posted December 16, 2023 It's been said for two months now that GEICO and AXE pulled out and there will be no GEICO bowl games GEICO kick off games next year are out .. someone else may show games though who knows but ESPN is out baring a large sponsor. There just isn't a big appetite for national high school football and the only reason it was considered is the tie in with college recruits. I guess ESPN, GEICO and AXE found out no one cares just like with their basketball diploma mill championships. High School sports has a place and that is locally with the alumni, current students, parents sans a few whacko's on this forum... just saying Until NFHS wants to engage in anything relating to a National Championship (as far as high school sports go) it will always be mythical and a dream by bloggers and anyone looking to capitalize on such a thing. NFHS stance is F No! The mere concept of trying to say who is the best team from 1600 plus high school football teams is ridiculous. Especially when 85 % of the teams are disqualified from consideration just because of the state they are in. Who fucking knows if some undefeated team Nebraska would beat a team from Georgia or not. No one does. It is just being ranked number one by whomever runs the site. Teams that order National Championship rings based on those tool bags opinion or some computer algorithm are stupid.. #fakechampionship Championships are won on the field via tournaments.. Even split championships some years.. It's stupid because there is no way and it's not needed. State Championships are enough and if certain publications want to have a team ranked best at the end so be it but it is not a National Championship is is what is is..
