That happens in other places like JawJaa Booker T came close when they beat Cedar Hill a few years ago. Chill made the finals vs Katy and we're winning in the 4th but let it slip away. To add insult, they won it the next year. Tough to beat a Texas state champ. Usually they are tops in the country and you ain't beating them regardless. Lol You have to go back to Lufkin in 2001 against ECA and Midland Lee against WM for our big boys And they lost an instate game that year. SLC, ET, Skyline, Abilene, CH, Desoto all lost OOS games only 1 made it to State CH and lost and by the way they were in DII and had been smoked by both Allen and Desoto, BTW didn't do anything that other TX powers hadn't done. #Depth. ET has single handedly wrecked havoc. DLS, Bingham, Shiloh Christian, Bentonville, Union, JC all OOS champs. Now see how many SC ET won while kicking OOS that ass and I didn't include other powers they beat 😀. We might not be the best but we damn sure ain't at the top of your jump off list. Idk how Grayson was national #12 and they where #3 in state... Grayson held MC to 36 yards offense the whole game... #8 Camden County beat #3 Hoover 44-16 in Alabama. Hoover won state. That was the worst loss in Hoover history. The Norcross-BTW debacle. This year TN 5A state champ Knoxville Catholic lost to our 1A champ Eagles Landing Christian 55-10 California teams stay losin oos... then they go back and win state titles. Lets see STA and DBP skullbashed DLS.who won state titles... BG bashed SJB who won state the same year. Last year 2A semi-Finalist Callaway skulldented AL 4A champ 44-10. Allen has been one of our winningest programs the past 5 years. In spite of that, they haven't played for a state title in 3 years... Allen was preseason fav both years ('15 and '16) and the eventual state champs either won their first 6A title ever (lake Travis) or NS who won it for the first time in over a decade. Cedar hill was the preseason fav to win state in '16, they lost to BG and desoto, a team that won their first title. this year we will crown a state champ in D2 that has never won one or hasn't in over 20 years. But they lost the very next week after beating MC and jumping to #1 in the country... They lost to Parkview 22-7... Led by Chris Carson... Lincoln was not the 6A champ (they were the 4A champ) Valdosta did not beat Lincoln 35-14 (it was 31-21) Lincoln did not, therefore, win FL's largest class (4A was 3rd largest) Incredible efficiency displayed right here.
