Did I say something was wrong with transfers?? re-read what i wrote.....I was pointing out the inaccuracy of his post.

All that transfers show, is that your coach is INEPT at winning with homegrown talent! Can you clowns imagine how you'd feel, if Colquitt had just TWO transfers from neighboring counties?(Worth, Dougherty, Mitchell, Thomas, Tift, Cook, and Brooks) That's two each, from eleven schools within thirty five miles of the HOG PEN!

Adversity and loss is a huge part of the human experience.

If daddy ball and spoiling the shit out of your kids by shielding them from both is they way you want to parent, that's on you.

The rest of us don't want to hear talking out of both sides of your face about pussifying America is all.

Watch it , Hawgie... I'm gonna snap my fingers....

I guarantee my kid is more than prepared from Buford HS experience in a smaller classroom of 20 and enrollment of 800 than 3000 at Roswell... I kid you not.

I'm not saying that every transfer is wrong or whatever.

It's the daddyball stuff over at MD, SJB, DBP, SJR,BC, likely Grayson etc. etc.

These multiple star senior athletes aren't transferring for academics. They just aren't. Their academics are virtually done.

These guys that pretend these kids are transferring for academics or whatever are full of it.

There is of course exceptions and every transfer isn't the same, but, I stand here today and call bullshit on the vast majority. :P

Having choices is good. When you are choosing to make the choice is what makes it all suspect.

Just saying.

Then vast majority of these types that chest thump about a recruited and transferred up team flip over on the OT board with right wing bull when backing up the travesty of this type of activity.

Virtually creating rotten kids that feel entitled to get whatever they want by any means, including turn their back on their fellow gridiron soldiers of 2 and 3 years to go ring chasing.

These same type guys look at the affluenza teen and mom and can't see their own self in it. Not a heap of difference imo.

And this was impossible from his last school?

I doubt it.

This is part of the problem. Thumping your chest about a transfer that probably got most of his education from somewhere else and his smarts from his gene pool.

SJR was just the daddyball place today. No?

Marietta is a 7A Buford.

They are Open enrollment which means as long as you have reliable transportation and keep a C average or higher you can attend that school even if you live outside of the school district.

Buford is also Open enrollment.

But Buford is a more Affluental area than Marietta. So obviously they benefit far more than Marietta but that could change very very soon.

Marietta is by no means bad. Buford is just a nicer area.

But Marietta is starting to boom again just like the early 2000's.

How come some schools have open enrollment and others do not

How in the hell are we gonna delineate daddyball from sincere?

I go back to "you can't impose on others what's not available to you".

I struggle with this, I see your POV and I understand fully, things are done the right way grassroots level in Moultrie, although I have an issue with the "hire", I see hypocrisy in that when a transfer is made an issue.

I think this is a good topic, gonna let it marinate a bit, make it tastier.

Started yawning watching highlights.

I don't know how this, or that team can be a top team nationally.

Plenty wins in the Georgia column vs. this SJR team. (If they played)

ELCA will blow their doors off.

Not just ELCA but many, many more.

Thomson, Calhoun, Mary Persons will all do them in.

ELCA got no love on the preseason poll, go figure.

 Thomson would do SJR in?

Come on guy.

I'm not imposing anything. Just offering my opinionated opinion. xD

What Grayson does is just as available to us. Hell, we have plenty of apartments around here that someone can sign a lease on, rent to own a bit of furniture, turn the power off at their house in T-ville for long enough for the silly little school investigator to peek and see it was done.

Idc if your entire football team is new transfers this year. It truly is no hide off my back.

It's the hypocrisy of thinking that type of entitlement is acceptable while turning one's nose up at another type that is the burr under my saddle.

Not directing this at you personally. Just sharing opinion in general.

I am not you. I don't see things the way you do.

I see more athletes at more positions.

What do you see?

Just stop bro. SJR would blast Thomson by a minimum of three scores.

I despise the BNU teams, but I can objectively say that Thomson would not present a challenge to SJR or any of the other Top 5 or 6 in Jersey.

Thomson is a decent team in their classification, but they would be run off the field against the best teams in GA.

Let’s face it, after further reflection the culture in Colquitt promotes a “us against the world” chip on the shoulder.

Just a whiny bunch, sad really. Almost a red headed stepchild kind of of aura.

Excellent program, but at what cost... crying about the hypocrisy but engaging in hypocrisy.

Wah, wah, wah, socialism folks... worked well in Venezuela.

I beg to differ. While it is true that we may take exception to the inconsistencies in the GHSA's enforcement of it's by laws...

We also take pride in the fact that we have played in 4 of the last 8 state championships (and no, not in the bush leagues) with the odds stacked against us.

There's nothing socialist about it, as we are talking HSFB, not economic philosophy. In high school football, we have a governing body that exist to enforce their own bylaws consistently and equally, which is simply not the case.

We've been over this a million times, what it wrong with advocating that all member schools play by the same rules.

While the 3% was an attempt to level the playing field for publics, privates, and open enrollment schools, it did nothing in regards to the highest classification. It works fine in the bush leagues by forcing schools to play up, but something else must be done.

Either restrict ALL transfers or have NO restrictions at all. I lean more towards the latter over the former option.
