Also 5A Highland Park also plays 6A Mesquite Horn as well as 6A Rockwall. I know @Frosty4024 thinks they are a 6A masquerading as 5A😎 Horn have them sandwiched between Allen wk1 and Cedar Hill Wk3. Keep in mind that Newton is 3A Div 2 They beat 4A Div 1 Silsbee last year 41-17 - That is 3 class step up for Newton. Silsbee - made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs before Carthage took them down 64-36 Newton vs Silsbee was 1st game of the season - Newton had 3 point lead at half - then scored 21 unanswered to win 41-17 Carthage vs Sisbee - was 3rd round playoff game - Carthage was up 64-21 at half - didn't score again. Silsbee also played WOS last year in non district 2 games later after to playing Newton and got beat 34-17 I believe Newton - was on par with WOS last year - Probably not Carthage last year This year Newton returns the farm - They very well might be the best team in 3A and 4A ( which includes 4 different classes) I will be pulling for Newton - However, I would not bet on them to beat WOS or Gilmer this coming season. lol I wouldn't bet against them either. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Brock vs Brownwood Brock vs Argyle Liberty Christian Brock is 3A Div 1 - (403 students) Brownwood is 4A Div 1 (958 students) Liberty Christian is TAPPS Div 1 - Actually beat Bishop Dunne in the regular season last year.
