I certainly came away thinking that I wish Marietta wasn't repping the state in these OOS games though. They got far too much hype for what I saw last night. 14th in the nation. So many people get star struck by the talent that a team has amassed and forget that these are still 16-17-18 year old kids for one thing. They mostly showed ineptitude on special teams and the D obviously was beaten by the Rome O-line. If Rome was a deeper team, I think it would have been worse than it was on Marietta. By week 10, these games are all but distant memories. I remember Archer lost 3 in a row in 2014 to start the year and came back to win 11 straight dominating everyone on the way to playing Colquitt in the title game...
