IMO - Fort Bend Marshall is the only school this year in Texas who could challenge for the top spot in this event.   If they have all their kids.  Shamon Ehiemua has not ran in meet since Feb 18th  - He posted 10.49 in that meet and has ran 20.56 200m last year at the great southwest meet.

They have another kid Myles Lafluer who has ran 10.39

Then they have one kid who has posted 10.82 and then they have 2 freshman who have ran in the 10.9 range 

At this point American Heritage is easily best relay team this year.

To be honest the recent school meet only dazzled in the relays... I only listed a 110 meter hurdler individually.   Even their Tyrese Cooper clone, Christian Taylor didn't crank out anything wow in his 200 and 400 wins.   He looked smooth in the semis.   They have some very fast young teens though.   Their relay times (especially the young girls) is outstanding.

I hope Florida sends relay all-stars to run against the Texas all stars at the great southwest meet this year.  Texas swept the relays last year 4x100, 4x200, 4x400

Fact is all the depth south needs to send teams to this meet.  It would be worth drive to go see at that point

Looking back at last in the 4 x 100 in Texas - there was 12 schools that ran sub 41.  with the fastest time of 40.13 by Fort Bend Marshall.   The top 5 times didn't happen until the state championships  and only 4 of the top 40 happened prior to district championships.

American Heritage was the only team in Florida who posted sub 41 4x100 last year.   40.95 ---So they have made some pretty dang good improvement this year.   Also, something to keep your eye on is that American Heritage also ran their fastest 4 x 100 last year at the Florida Relays

Damn 40.95 that American Heritage ran last year would have been the 12th best time in Texas last year.

The bottom line this years 4x100 teams all together have not been as good so far as last year.  Still month 1/2 for states like florida and Texas before state finals

John Curtis sent a good pole vaulter to Stanford couple years ago. His brother did the pole vault at Stanford too.

agree...However, what if the fastest girls from several different schools near MNW all went to MNW - I know BTW isn't all that far and few other down there are pretty close.

Cedar Hill, Dallas Carter, Duncanville, parts of Mansfield, parts of Arlington are all really close to Desoto.  Desoto is faster than CH right now...However, that might not be the case in couple of years.

Bottom line our schools are not being stacked in the way they are doing things in Jamaica.  

Jamaica has made Track and Field priority and they are stacking some of the schools - so these kids can all train together.
