AHP WR Anthony Schwartz just lowered his nation leading wind legal 100 to 10.15 at the Florida Relays!   He broke Jeff Demps Florida Relays record.

10.12 is minimum standard for the World's qualifying in June for the US.  He's close.

Dang man I can never beat you to the track news!   Kid is fast and also an excellent WR.   Looks like UM v UF battle.   Maybe we can win one of these lol.

Christopher Taylor is 17 yrs old btw.  Nptb, DD watch the Calabar relay that I linked to and check his 2nd leg in replay.  Those kids he's blurring by aren't slow.  He and Cooper need to race in the 200 and 400 and when they eventually do compete can't wait to see the times.

I watched it.  The kid is smooth.

Oh yea...  #6 all-time hs and the fastest 100 in March all-time.  Noah Lyles junior hs record is 10.14 (.01 faster)...  Schwartz has through the summer to beat it and if he hits 10.12 he will be running vs. USA's best in June to compete for World's.

You can bet the Jamaicans are aware of that time lol.  Note the to 19 age bracket (that's the * of the Jamaica academy sports schools as there could be a post grad competing or simply a 19 yr old senior).

Nptb, what's ur take on the TX relays? :)  I do think weather plays a part but MN and TX aren't changing 4x100 rankings if they switch for a year lol... within reason it matters and also TX FL and CA have the most meets... in the best climate and with better competition comes faster times.

I agree with all of this.  I'm on record of saying that California is the best track and field state in the country.  I think the Texas State meet is the  best state meet in the county with some great times being turned in in all classes.

Calabar (Jamaican sports academy with elite track sprinters) with a 39.64... Christopher Taylor ran the 2nd leg (he's Jamaica's Tyrese Cooper... very close times 100/200/400).

Taylor's speed evidenced here... talk about a ho hum sub 21.  Sheesh.

I'd love to see Taylor, Cooper, Schwarts all on the same track.

He needs to come to ND where he'll have a qb that can get him the ball.

His 10.15 today is a world youth (U18) record and a career path burst.  I think that dual sport idea is out the window now. This kid is now a world class sprinter.  Enjoy 1 more year of HS football and then it's pro time and a USA jersey over the SEC..

lol true.  Sooo much depends on Felipe Franks this year.

Speaking of ND, what ever happened to Corey Holmes?  He not end up able to crack the depth chart up there?

He's going to be in the rotation this season.  He'll get some balls thrown his way.  ND has recruited well on offense.

Yeah, I kind of agree.  You know more about the kid than I do.  How much does he love football is the big question.

Like we discussed earlier, no one should be able to touch him in the 100 this season and i can see him really challenging Cooper in the 200.

I'd guess Track is his top choice.  He's a smart kid.  Nothing wrong with an elite academic choice (if it was SEC he'd likely join his wr teammate Miles Jones at Vandy) but that 10.15 in March is a wow and he's only a junior.   Lyles and Norman chose pro last year out of HS.  Cooper and Taylor I doubt see a college classroom.   Schwartz could turn pro and attend an elite college... that might be his choice.  He just won't compete in the NCAA.

Yeah that 10.15 in his jr year is what we need.  We are going to get the 4 x 100 record back in the next 3 to 5 years with the young guns.
