Nolebull813
Sorry can't get down with any Lousiana team ranked ahead of every single Texas team except 2. Every year Texas skull dents the top Lousiana team or a top 5. Not even the elite Texas teams but the average ones. So given the 30 plus years of data, there is no way a Louisiana team would ever crack the Texas top 5 let alone the top 3

Nothing has to earn anybody the right to be ranked anywhere. They won both games pretty much on luck (DeMatha) and potentially a bad call (St. John's). But that "has to earn them" a top 100 ranking? Well, for starters, curbstomping two of the top teams in LA (BR Catholic & Zachary) to start the season got them heading in the right direction. That, coupled with the fact that they have multiple 4 and 3 star players scattered all over the field certainly helps the cause.

The best teams ever assembled in Louisiana were getting the tar beat out of them by lesser teams than Duncanville, Katy, Aledo etc. Louisiana is a non power football state. They don't have the depth, coaching and quality Texas has. And Texas can match and most of the times surpass their athleticism. Why do you think Evangel can get clobbered by 3 oos teams but run the table in Lousiana? It's a whole different animal

You display several logical shortcomings just in this single sentence. It's no wonder you're terrible at ranking high school football teams. First, they beat Zachary 49-27 and were only up 28-21 at halftime and 35-27 in the 4th quarter. In other words, not a curbstomping and it's laughable that you would portray it as that. Second, they beat Catholic 41-21 and were only up 20-14 in the second quarter and 27-14 at halftime. In other words, also not a curbstomping. And even if they were, it doesn't prove anything that they did so to "two of the top teams" in Louisiana. That's a meaningless label. Teams are either good or not. Catholic and Zachary would be nobodies in many other states and failing to put a running clock on either of them wouldn't get anybody into the top 15. But with this small Louisiana school, people are charitable and feel that they have to make a silly pound-for-pound argument. Just tell the truth and say that you want ranking diversity. Don't lie and claim that you have some objective standard because you clearly don't.

It only helps their cause with clueless bozos like you who don't even know the first thing about either of those wins. If you think those games were curbstompings then, yes, you would mistakenly think that University Lab was "quite stout" this year.

There were 3 teams just in the WCAC who did. And being the WCAC champ is a meaningless title. They have a round robin regular season schedule and then a playoff. It's more accurate to say that Gonzaga finished second-to-last. Also, Gonzaga is 37th in this crappy ranking. I bet you if they had dropped that hail mary our friend whiteshoes would have had them much lower. That's just stupid, period.
