IMG class of 2020

One thing of note is the 2016 and 17 teams had the stud class and already had a pretty loaded junior class before the transfers.   A lot of 2019 guys like like Sanders and Evan Neal were on the 2016 team.   Guys like Cain, Nolan Smith were on IMG for both 17 and 18.   So even though the 2019 class was also loaded they were way less deep at all positions because they didn't have as many quality 2020 kids.   Their backups against MD when they got ejected were...scrubs.

In order for IMG to be anywhere near the talent of the 16/17 teams they'd need like 2-3x the amount of transfers they've been getting because they'd need 2 classes of talent depth.

Save it for the Excuse thread.

IMG was strong as hell in 2018

Truth hurts.  Give me the name of the backup MLB and DB that came in for IMG vs MD.

Sure, of course they were strong they had a loaded senior class, but no depth.    They had the last batch from their golden transfer wave plus a few needed pickups but nothing like before.

I don't think they disappear but I see them as being a blend of the Blue and White teams eventually.   IE a more normal team.  Their 16 and 17 teams were loaded to the point it was an impossible trend to continue.

I agree. As long as people with more money than they can ever begin to spend think it's a good thing to pay full fare for Johnny and Jane, IMG will survive as they can use some of that for scholarship money.

But I think a number of talented kids that would have wanted to go the IMG route are having second thoughts. There is something to be said for staying local and having a "normal" high school experience.

I have to do J E S U P  now...

If I do it any other way my phone goes straight to Jesus...

This may be too radical for you, but you can disable autocorrect.

Then you can type ... wait for it ... ANYTHING YOU WANT.

Of course then you’ll have to actually read what you type, so it might be too stressful for you. 🤠

This is accurate.

It's also accurate that Mase Funa for MD didn't play either, and their 4* RB transferred to JSerra and didn't play.  Guys have to step up.

That's another reason why it is so tough to enter the playoffs after the Trinity League wars, and guys are banged up all over.  Then they have to play "fresh" teams like DLS

I’m sure the other 4* RB that transferred in stepped up just fine.

If you can’t admit those ejections were garbage I don’t know what to tell you.

IMG got hosed and I actually wanted MD to win.....

So how long will they last.  They’ve slowely been more and more depleted each year.  With local super powers rising up will they be able to continue?  I mean they have the facilities and all but...

I'm guessing this UF verbal is not alone in transferring in.   That's a 2 year player example.

Stephenson (trf from Peachtree Ridge) RB/ATH Miles Friday is now at Cardinal Gibbons .   He's got some big time offers.

It's going to take a lot to get to where they were.  Remember they had like THE top guys in the nation on the lines on both sides.
