I read an article where 4-5 teams were below 40.6 in a meet race where Calabar DQ'd (lane violation on anchor). Kingston College won days ago with a sub 40 and Calabar with a limping Stephens at the finish ran a sub 40.2 I believe, but after that I think there was separation... will check and modify below. I seriously doubt MNW's 40.36 will hold through TX's finish. Will the 2019 4x100 states be as impressive? Looking fwd to finding out. 181pl
Boling is a beast. Probably a real threat to medal in Olympics for the 200, 400, and long jump. Or, he could dominate the decathlon and win gold. His Sprint and jump times would be so far ahead of the field.
181pl
My son's track team is fairly mediocre because of lack of participation. But that's allowed him to run the 100, 4x100, 200, and 400 this year. Attending meets would be boring if he only ran 1 race

Noah Lyles broke a HS national record and didn't qualify for the Olympic team (he was real close though as was Michael Norman coming right out of HS to the US Olympic trials). Boling is soon to be 19 years of age as a senior in HS and will have tremendous talent to race in every event he chooses from the collegiate level and the pros for the trials in June next year. I like the Decathlon mention. Can he sling a javelin? For sure a guy to follow and if he peaks at the right time for the trials, you never know, but it will be very hard to qualify in one event, never mind multiple. I thought a few years back Tyrese Cooper would be in the 2020 mix, but at this point no chance. Anthony Schwartz we will see if he can get his 100 lowered to attempt a trials qualification. Also, Floridian Trayvon Bromell is likely healed and ready to start competing at a high level again. I don't know if Marvin Bracy is racing or giving pro football still a go. 181pl
Injury free, in 5 years, Boling could be a legit 9.9 in the 100, 19.6 200, and perhaps sub 44 in the 400. Probably could be in the low 28s in the long jump. If he decides to specialize in one race, perhaps lower.

And like I said Texas can run with those Jamaican kids and if we Stack our Relay team like they do those Private/Colleges errrr HS in Jamaica. Remember I reported last year in the Regional finals here were my 1st time seeing kids in HS run sub 21's in the 200. That 6A Heat last year was smoking fast. I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE THEY RUN 19YR OLDS AS WELL ON THOSE JAMAICAN TEAMS. Yet they will go to the PENN Relays and smoke teams that wouldn't beat Many Texas 4A squads. I wish Fl and Tx could get there against those kids.

I will answer 181 about Boling, but both Cooper and Boling would be nice to see at the U20 Worlds. DevilDog
Here is what won the Penn Relays last year. Now who follow HS T&F that don't think Texas could run with those kids, Hell our 5A could run with those kids. They have like one or two exceptional and the rest are like 5A here. 6 Texas 6A Schools would have finshed in the top. He certainly made great strides (pun intended) in his times and jumped over 2 feet further this season so far and I'm anxious like everyone else to see how he finishes the school year and perhaps he will participate in the Great Southwest Classic with Cooper among others. Even though Boling or Cooper won't be eligible for the U20 World Champ next year, I wanted to share the records of this event all-time and below this I will add the newly updated 2020 Olympics qualifying standard times and long jump distances too, which at first glance looked similar to the U20 all time best (maybe not lol, we'll see soon enough). Followed by Boling's PB so far in his young career of course... time will tell how far he goes, but even in 4 years he will be facing USA elites from college to pro and there aren't many slots available in the Trials to make the Olympic team. Gotta be healthy and peaking at the right time and maybe get a little lucky also.
