Hey... You have to give it to former Southlake Carroll QB (Ryan Agnew) at San Diego St.

He was San Diego St (Offensive Player of the Year 2018) and on pace to the San Diego St (Offensive Player of the year 2019) and has them off to a (5-1) start.

Who?  Stop name dropping like we are suppose to know who players are that are just because they are from Texas.  Makes it really hard to follow.

Lmao 😂  u really bragging about these wash ups lmao

You can’t call Stidham washed up, at least not yet.

He’s a rookie.  He’s only played about 4 NFL downs in his career.

He did throw an unfortunate pick, though, or he may have played more downs.

Him and David bloough TO be determined

but that rest of that list are all Busts and bums especially Josh McCown who had made a Nice Career getting what ever team he’s starting on that #1 pick for the next year

Let's also not forget that Oakland Raiders QB (Derek Carr) played all his Junior High (7th and 8th grade) and three years of High School football in Texas (Sugar Land Clements) before transferring out to California for his Senior year of HS.

I saw him QB Sugar Land Clements vs Katy HS and Bo Levi Mitchell (Calgary Stampeders-CFL).

Wow did not know that.

Ask Farrell: What state produces the best QBs?

There is no major surprise that Florida, California and Texas are the Big Three when it comes to producing NFL players and it’s not a shock that Georgia was easily fourth on the list.

One thing that is slightly surprising, though, is just how impressive the list of quarterbacks have been from the state of Texas - and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

California has always been recognized as the state that produces elite quarterbacks, but one look at the names out of Texas and that narrative could be changing quickly.

Here’s are the NFL QBs from the Lone Star State:

, Robert Griffin III
, Andy Dalton
, Baker Mayfield
, Nick Foles
, Ryan Tannehill
, Patrick Mahomes
, Matthew Stafford
, Drew Brees and
Andrew Luck (Just retired young).
.

That is an impression representation of not only some of the best veterans in the game but also some of the up-and-coming superstars in the NFL. And those are only the big names as many others are in backup roles.

Let’s not forget the next group of players as well as

, Sam Ehlinger
, Shane Buechele
, and some would argue   should be considered among Texas prospects.

In the 2020 class, Texas A&M commit

and Texas pledge   are two of the top-four dual-threat quarterbacks, so there’s a chance they will be elite in the coming years.

FARREL'S TAKE

We ask Rivals National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell whether Texas is now the best state to recruit the quarterback position or if he still thinks it’s California or maybe even Georgia.

“Texas has done a great job of producing quarterbacks when you consider guys like Brees, Mahomes and others having success in the NFL and they’ve replaced California as the place to find quarterbacks recently. Georgia has some amazing talent like

, Justin Fields
and  and California still produces talent at the position but give me Texas by far lately. And the next wave is coming led by Card and others.”

TX and Cali hands down.  I saw a state on how many NFL QB's come from these states and it was insane.

I can also tell you the worst state by a mile - FL.  Yes they've had a couple decent QB's but relative to population they're horrendous.  You'll see some of the worst QB and special teams play you've ever seen watching HS games down there.

I guess Josh McCown has sucked so much over a 20 year NFL career that they kept forgetting about all the "Hot Shot" New Jersey QB that should of...could of... would of... beat him out!!   LMFAO

Just trying to keep you informed...   San Diego States QB for the past two seasons has been former Southlake Carroll (TEXAS) QB Ryan Agnew.

I guess those San Diego St coaches couldn't find some hot-shot local Orange County kid to beat him out.
