CCBlackhatter
Two more years under Helton and they will be too far behind the top teams recruiting wise and have to settle for mid tier bowl games.
CCBlackhatter
USC currently has 12 seniors that will be leaving. If they lose any juniors early then they will barely be able to fill all of their scholarships. With the best players already off of the table, the will have to settle for lower level players just to fill out their roster. In the meantime... Bama, Clemson, UGA, Ohio State, LSU, etc will have a depth chart of mostly 4 and 5 star players. The transfer portal could become USC's best friend due to their lack of depth and guaranteed playing time.
CCBlackhatter
USC currently has 39 4 star players on roster and 6 5 stars. 7 of those 4 stars are juniors and 5 are seniors. They also have 1 5 star who is a junior. They have a solid group of sophomore talent that will be draft eligible next year (10 4 stars and 4 5 stars). That's a lot of talent that could potentially be gone over the next 12+ months. One more recruiting class like 2020 and USC will have some serious issues on the depth chart. Their skill position players are every bit as good as anyone's in the country, unfortunately for them, its just as important
old_e
This is one year. If they can get a good recruiter, they will manage to pick up the pace the following year.
Gospeeder
Does anyone know how DJ ended up playng QB for the East?

Not enough QBs from the East, all the good QBs were from the West. DJ agreed to play for the East. Would have been an even bigger blowout had the East had to fend for themselves at QB. 1

A large portion of those skill guys are draft eligible next year and they are not currently recruiting well enough to fill that void. It’s the same problem they had with the NCAA sanctions and reduction in scholarships. A few really good players with no depth.

There were close to 10 kids that didn't play for one reason or another.
