Talking about possible election hacks and all...

 

If I was into the conspiracy theories and such, and we take into consideration that many computer elections systems don't have a paper trail to follow, then we consider that the polls all were coming to the same conclusion, and then that conclusion turned out to be totally wrong... Who says there wasn't vote switching malware installed in many of the computer systems? This could better explain how polls that are almost always within the margin of error were suddenly wrong, or were they wrong? 

Almost everyone came away from election night surprised and stunned.

Whether this happened or not, it could have. Just the thought of that is enough for me to prefer hanging chads again, or at least a paper trail that can be used in a recount if necessary. Like a receipt that is printed and the voter takes it, reviews it for correctness and then places it into a lock box on the way out of the polling place. Seems like a smart thing to do to me anyway.

Anyone that votes in this country should have a state-federal issued photo id. They show up to vote, slide their ID into machine as someone verifys it's them from photo and they vote. They should then be able to log in from home using their id number to verify their vote was accurate.
