I will be drinking beer this weekend. I'm calling it The 1st Annual Memorial Day Beer Blitz. 

Gonna start at either Omaha Brewing Company or Chattabrewchee over in Columbus, and then go into the central time zone and travel north until I hit Back Forty Beer Company, then gonna drink until and hit the hotel. Maybe get up on Sunday and head over to Monday Night and Sweet Water in Atlanta, and then cruise south to Macon and hit Macon Beer Company. Might end back at Pretoria Fields or Georgia Beer Company. 

I'm gonna rush those breweries like a linebacker. Beer Blitz 2021! 🍺

It is so. It's the Beer BLITZ 2021. 

I know you played girls volleyball in school and you're a Lowndes grad so you may not fully understand football terminology and all, but a blitz is when a defensive player releases and times a rush at the qb. 

I fully plan on releasing and rushing the brewhaus like a linebacker. 

Linebacker is a position on the defense behind the defensive line but in front of the safeties in case you needed an education on that as well.  

The defensive line is...

Yes. Very cool tour, and I got to hang out with Eric and Karen Vonk who founded the distillery. Very interesting people, with a great story to tell. 

Off to Omaha Brewing Company now! I feel a drunk coming on. Hahaha

Too late! I drove 30 minutes to Omaha Brewing Company and am midway through a flight at the moment. My accompaniment is on a half pint of a pretty good sour blue Raspberry lemonade. 

Mobile internet is horrible out here in the middle of nowhere though. 

 

 

 

 

Peach Cobbler Sour was brilliant. The lime mint is a 0 percent alcohol cbd seltzer. Orange and Brew pilsner was just ok, nothing special. The Yippie Ki Ya ipa was really good. 

 

My accompaniment had the blue Raspberry lemonade sour. It was pretty solid for a sour. 

I liked the Peach Cobbler Sour so much I hopped on a half pint before hitting the road. 

Half hour to Chattabrewchee. 😁

Alright... Had to make a pit stop at Fort Mitchell National Cemetary. This is the entire reason for this holiday weekend, and these men and women are partly the reason I'm able to enjoy the freedoms of today and do this Brewery BLITZ this weekend.

My Hot Blonde Cousin... quite the name but, anyway, the beer is ok. 

 

 

Rye Honey Wheat is better than the cousin fucker one. 

 

 

I'll save this one for another day.

Made it to Back Forty Beer Company. Kicked off a flight with their Cart Barn Light beer, The Grit Kisser Lager, a Bama Mosa brut IPA which paired wonderfully with the Korean chicken sandwich and fries, a Paw Paws Peach Wheat Ale and a House Hazy.

 

 

 

Also tried this Hard Peach Lemonade moonshine cocktail made from their house made shine. 

 

 

 

 

It's been quite the day rushing these breweries like a linebacker!
