Bormio is happy when there is foot stomping but not when our elected actually do something that helps the people.  What a shallow and sad old quack.

Sorry the coup didn't work out for you and you couldn't get the dictator you wanted.

Call Hillary and maybe she could swing a quick dossier for you asshats to force Manchin back in line.

You're welcome.

There was a time Democrats we’re about helping people.  That time is long in the past.

Democrats are all about democracy as long as it yields the exact results they require. When the people or politicians stray from their orthodoxy, all hell breaks loose.

Joe Manchin is a traitor to them because he is not putting party over the people. He seems to be the only Democrat Senator that is afraid of what the radicals in his party have in store for the rest of the country.

… until it is time to count Joe Manchin’s vote

When you watch who’s railing on him and what they’re saying, it’s almost as if it’s Trump they’re attacking.  It’s more like revolutionaries than accepting the democratic process.  If you don’t support the revolution, you are an infidel.  Funny thing, those same people are the ones screaming loudest about the “insurrection”.

Didn't really know what to make of Manchin up to this point.

He won me over when he actually answered the question asked by the Sunday morning news media. Just a simple "NO" without the typical sidestepping and useless non-committal bullshit that comes out of 99.99 percent of political hacks interviewed.

Whether one agrees with him or not... he now commands respect and it would do the country well if more of our so called political leaders stepped up for what is best for the country instead of massaging their respective party line.

So there is nothing in the BBB that would help people?  It is literally impossible, considering how big the bill is, that it would not help people in some type of way.  You would have a hard time arguing otherwise.  How does voting NO help people? Is there ways that the bill could be improved?  Probably but that isn't what is important is it?  It is not about helping people at all because that requires both sides to actually work together to come up with a compromise and that would be unacceptable for many Republican voters.

When was the last legislation that Republicans did that helped the people without it first helping the rich?  Republicans have not been for anything for a long time and are now just against everything.  Time spent railing against Big Bird and the like is more important than doing the country's business.

Noted for irony.

He won you over when explaining his no vote on a complicated bill with many parts by a simple "NO"?  What type of explanation is that?  That doesn't make sense and is completely unsatisfying.

Whether one agrees with him or not... he now commands respect and it would do the country well if more of our so called political leaders stepped up for what is best for the country instead of massaging their respective party line.

What exactly commands respect?  Do Manchin and the Republicans only deserve respect for a vote?  By voting no, Manchin did not help his constituents at all and it will end up hurting them.  Is there anything in the bill that you think would be a help for people?  Is  doing nothing going to be helpful to the people?  It makes as much sense as trying to take away health care for people during a pandemic.
