Thought this might provide some fun competition for the experts on here.  Let's see who can get the most right.  The questions below are based upon this year's high school senior class.

Question 1 - Which 5 metro areas below produced the most 4 and 5-star talent?  Name them in order from 1-5, with 1 being the greatest.

Question 2 - Which 5 metro areas below produced the most 4 and 5-star talent per capita? Name them in order from 1-5, with 1 being the greatest.

Note: Metro area=metropolitan statistical area

Atlanta

Baton Rouge

Birmingham

Charlotte

Cleveland

Dallas-Ft Worth

Detroit

Houston

Los Angeles

Miami-Ft Lauderdale

Orlando

Phoenix

St Louis

Seattle

I would say Dallas, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta and New Orleans in that order

For question #1, correct?

And btw, New Orleans is not on the list.  Fortunately, there is nobody from Louisiana on here or they might get upset you thinking Baton Rouge and New Orleans are the same.🙂

What’s impressive is Ft Lauderdale is only 6 miles to Plantation. You already know they are using parameters far greater than 6 miles to calculate the other cities.

Just to clarify, the 2 questions above pertain to 4 and 5-star high school seniors graduating at the end of this year.

there is no study on that I can find but the numbers or at least ranks of cities for the questions you asked would be in line.. Cities with more D1's will have more NFL so it correlates

Just Miami Dade and Broward have over 100 nfl players.   Those city numbers are dumb.    There are like 10 cities within a 10 mile radius in south Fl.

New Orleans over Baton Rouge all day everyday.

In fact...I'd take the Lafayette area over Baton Rouge at the moment tbh.  But ya did say Metro sooo.

From the guy that lived in the state 30 years...

Trust me when I say that I did not handicap the great state of Louisiana by placing Baton Rouge on the list in lieu of NO for the purposes of this exercise.

Interesting you went with Baton Rouge rather than New Orleans, though maybe they are combined.

Without looking it up, I'd say Miami-FL; L.A.;  Houston; NoLa/BR and Atlanta. For sure Baton Rouge will be at the top in per capita, but it's also the smallest city here.
