I totally agree with this…. In 2019 MD was Clearly the Top Team in the country with a Future Heisman winner and would have gone down as the Best MD team of all time….

This year MD was Young…. There were lucky to get out of BG with a Win and the first SJB game could have gone either way….

All this game did was reinforce my feeling that This year both MD and SJB are not heads and shoulders better then the rest of the country and could be beat by any teams in the top 10-15 in the country….

It’s definitely a bummer that Rollo didn’t go out with a win, but it really doesn’t matter….. Rollo is on the Short list of the greatest to have ever done it…. Winning Natty’s in the 90’s and under the current system….

For Cali, the GOAT conversation includes Lad and Rollo and that’s it…

You think Negro eventually deserves to be included in the Cali GOAT conversation along with Lad and Rollo? I feel there should also be a Cali GOAT conversation for the greatest Public School Coaches, for that I feel Bob Johnson and Matt Logan should be included, another is maybe John Barnes of Los Al.

Negro is no way one of the greatest coaches, one of the greatest recruiters I’ll give him that one. With all the talent he’s been able to recruit or assemble, if that makes people feel better, in the last 10 years he’s expected to win. Lad is the clear #1, Rollo a distance second and then Logan. Negro is not even top 10 yet.

Harry Welsh was a great coach as well.

I do think that JN will eventually be in the conversation…. He has big wins over both Logan and Rollo and he has built SJB into a National power with no signs of slowing down….

The question is, will he have the 30-40 year longevity that LAD and Rollo Had at keeping their programs Relevant…

Right now, I would put him the Tier just  Below With BJ, Logan, Harry Welch, and maybe Barnes, Grady and Dave White….

I guess Rollo has never been accused of recruiting, I remember Amon-Ra St. Brown was a transfer to MD as well, he didn't enroll there as a freshman, he must have done some controversial moves that made MD become a national powerhouse again when they went through an almost 20-year title drought, the turning point was 2012 I think.
