1956 Oklahoma City Douglass, won the state title the first season that black schools were included and also scored a huge OOS win

Booker T Washington out of Shreveport was in its 6th year of existence and already had a couple of state championships under their belt.

1952 Louisville Flaget with Paul Hornung, who among many other things was a #1 draft pick. His backfield-mate Sherrill Sipes also played at Notre Dame.

Those Chattanooga Central and Oak Ridge teams were national powerhouses back in those days. Chattanooga Central played Miami that year and lost 19-18. Their only loss, along with ties with Flagler and Oak Ridge. 

Central played that Miami team the following season and swept them in two games. Overall, they played them seven years in a row from 47-54. Miami won the series stretch 4-3-1.
