TheMaximumHornetSting
Went through looking at some old matchups... In 1919 Colquitt County (Moultrie HS same Program still Packers football) Was going undefeated and so was Cartersville... Well I guess the Purple Hurricanes thought they where hot stuff and came on down to South GA making the 5 hour trek from the North Georgia Mountains to the South Georgia Woodlands to show the packers that their could only be 1 undefeated big boy school in Georgia.... Well... Cartersville had a life changing experience when they went to the Hawg Pen and got Bested 19-0 by the Packers.... This was the one and only meeting between the 2 schools.... Cartersville has become one of the most recognizable programs in the state/Region in football and nationally in Baseball (Cartersville Baseball program is Really damn Good the only program comparable or Better is Parkview and Maybe Blessed Trinity or Winder-Barrow) But only recently have they become the powerhouse that yall know and love... thanks to Joey King and Trevor Lawrence.... Cartersville has an extensive football history. Record vs in state powers: 1-6 vs Buford 0-1 vs Colquitt 6-17-1 vs Carrollton 0-5 vs Gainesville 9-1 vs North Cobb 0-3 vs Warner Robins (All 3 times where in the playoffs: 2020,21 and 22) 1-1 vs Cedar Grove 1-0 vs Ware

And it was unauthorized by the MIAA, so they got banned from postseason play the following year, which ended up causing a whole mess when Everett finished in a three-way tie for their league title and there was a court case to determine whether they should be factored into the tiebreaker. Cool story, MA Fan. Everett's RB got hurt in the first quarter against Deland and it fell apart for them after that. Now I am required to post the Everett 1994 results: Peabody 8-34 Beverly 24-0 Medford 36-7 Arlington 26-14 Somerville 38-7 Cambridge 38-0 Revere 36-14 Waltham 17-16 Malden 43-26 Deland (FL) 8-35
