ThunderRam
I’m trying to understand how taking a analyst gig during football season isn’t retiring from coaching? Until he announces that he’s going to be a HC again, there’s no story here. His wife is sure adament that he not coach again, for health reasons, so I think the odds are good that he won’t.

He either has health issues that stop him from working... or he doesn't. That's the story here. Clearly he doesn't. It's his M.O. Retire to exit a "difficult" situation due to health related issues, then, unretire taking a different job.
Wosinc
I thought he said “retire from coaching,” not “never do anything again.”
181pl
He would not be a good fit at USC. Hopefully he stays retired. Not a huge Clay Helton fan, but who wants the Terdban Myer shit show?
BUFORDGAWOLVES
The pain migrated from his chest at Florida to his head at OSU, waiting for Urban's genitals to expode or something at his next gig prolly Notre Dame. BGW

No. You honestly think that being a part-time analyst for Fox Sports is even remotely as time-consuming and high pressure as head coaching at a place like Ohio State?

Retiring as a HC doesn’t mean retiring from everything else. He’s also gonna be teaching a class at tOSU and assisting the AD. How come you didn’t mention that? FWIW, doing something once isn’t an M.O. If he does the exact same thing again, then it would be. For now, you’re trying to make something out of this when it’s not remotely comparable to coaching an elite college program. As I said before, there’s no story here. As you were.
