AztecPadre
Looks like its going to fail. All of these leagues usually fail and fail hard. HSFBfan
The aaf came out and said they were fine. I am really enjoying the AAF. It's better than the NFL. Basketball season ends this weekend. Lax season is fun but not on TV enough Baseball sucks
HawgGoneIt
I finally watched the back end of an AAF game the other night. Turns out it was the first overtime game for the league. I did enjoy it. I hope the league makes it. More football and more opportunities for people that play football.

The question is if they do well where that leave the XFL who will be sharing the same season as the AAF Both leagues would be bankrupt if they attempted to pull a USFL and move to the fall so the only way either could survive is stay in the spring but that also means they will have to compete with each other to stay afloat
AztecPadre
I don't see 2 leagues competing against each other, making it. AAF is already in trouble and the that's with the XFL not having started yet. BTW, when does it start?

bigrobstercraws
It's not in trouble yet. The issue is the NFL needs to pump money into it.

BUFORDGAWOLVES
Too bad, fitting to switch over to AAF from Bad Moms Christmas and I was denied. I’m hurt. Regards, BGW
AztecPadre
It never really had a chance. The XFL will follow in 2020 and will meet the same fate. The only way for a league like this to succeed is with the blessing and sponsorship of the NFL.
HawgGoneIt
If the XFL tries any of the weirdness like they did last time, they're toast before they get started. I really hoped that the AAF would make it. Seemed more level than the first XFL stint was, so, I thought maybe it could be like a farm league or second chance league for further development of some athletes for the NFL. Not to be I guess.

That's the only way I can see one working. Is if the NFL buys in on it and treats it as a farm/development league, like the NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS.

It makes sense to me to have one. Not only does it keep fans watching football for more of the year, but, it does allow for further development of some borderline talents that could use another year or two to develop.

BUFORDGAWOLVES
1st thought on this, will ownership buy in and still make money. NCAA is the best Farm system out there and it’s free.... ownership doesn’t have to pay in unlike baseball and their farm system. So, pretty much with CFL and Arena Football..., the market may be... dare I say... saturated. Regards, BGW
