North Gwinnett

This was a classic upset. Lovejoy is nothing special. This is just like North Cobb upsetting us in 2014. We bounced back and won every game handedly for the rest of the year. Of course, we got upset again in the playoffs by Central Gwinnett but oh well.

North is nothing special. We have never lost to them.

You are new to this huh? You must temper you expectations. North Cobb had Tyler Queen in 14' and you could not bet against him and those very good WR's they had. In 12', we had to score 63 points to beat them in one of the highest scoring playoff games in the history of GHSA, 63-42.

It is you that is trying to make a point. My message is clear and undisputed, we are 2-0 against that team. We are better than that team.

Lovejoy is not better than North Gwinnett. In 2012, yes, Lovejoy was better. Much better in fact. But this year, they are nothing more than an average team that pulled off an upset. Kind of like Appalachian State in 2007.

This is the same North Gwinnett team that beat the preseason favorites McEachern 52-49 at Cantrell. NG also beat Hillgrove, Collins Hill, and Mill Creek in that year before dropping 71 points on Duluth.

Let's be honest, Lovejoy would get crushed by Parkview. And yet North Gwinnett shut Parkview out.

North simply got beat.  Lovejoy was the better team. Their D totally controlled NG.  North could not cover the Lovejoy WR's.  Lovejoy's 2 touchdowns were scored by a sophomore RB.

Lovejoy fought from start to finish and they  are today  the talk of the state.

??????????  Are you sure you're on the right board?

You don't know that Parkview would beat, much less crush Lovejoy.

You thought NG was going to beat Lovejoy and look how that turned out.

Trust me they still believe Lovejoy isn't that great. They just acknowledged that we played a horrible game.

And were they on that field alone? Who was their opponent? Why did they play a bad game? Who did they play again? Have they ever beaten Lovejoy?

As you said, lets be honest, Lovejoy won.

North Gwinnett has not scored an offensive touchdown on Lovejoy. In 12', they kicked field goals in the 2nd and 4th quarters.

This time, it was a pick 6.

I think you should find someone else to try and pick on.

Dear lord, now we are going to hear how great Lovejoy is for at least another 7 years.

At least they have a win to brag about. SportsNut was left with close losses to Colquitt as evidence of Lovejoy being good until this monumental win.

Still only ranked 5th in 6A, whose top two teams both lost to 7A teams on Friday.

Maybe they're top 20 in the state. Maybe.

Lovejoy won but NG's absolutely horrid passing offense helped. There were so many open receivers but our guys would either drop it or the pass would sail over their head.

You don't have to read the post. What do you have against Lovejoy?

Did they beat your team or cause you to lose money?
