Hey @Cossacks This is the nice thing about Lagunitas being Corporate!!!.... More  “Where’s Waldo”!!!...🤣... Bought a Case at my local Safeway!!...

A necessity when watching the Warriors right now!!!... Who ever thought that a 21 point halftime lead would be a “Nailbiter!”..🤣🤣...

After Tuesday no lead is safe with GS!!!...

I want one of these...

IMG_20190419_213021.thumb.jpg.4918e58df5cc8b33b8e75360fbcf9954.jpg

Hand numbered, sealed with wax.

$18.75 per bottle

Bourbon Barrel Chocolate Cherry Porter. I'm sure they're all gone already, but, awesome idea. Gotta run through there soon on the way to Talladega. Probably will have to stop off and check them out.

West Point Georgia. Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse.

Looks like a fine quality beer. Not a fan of stouts, but will try any small brewery beer.

I've never tried that brewery at all. Picked them up from a follow on twitter from another brewery.

Just loved the idea of the wax dipped brews. Would love to get my hands on two. One to sample and one to save.  Great looking package.

Definitely all about supporting local(ish) since local.for me has to be a larger area due to lack of quality breweries.

I didn't think I was a dark beer fan until trying The Mandarin Chief at Back Forty Beer Co. tasting room. They opened the door for me to try dark brews, and since, I've realized the beauty of the heavier beers.

Nice 90 degree day out and my BIL brought these on Easter so figured it’s 1:00 on a Wednesday so no better time to try it.

This is only 3.8% abv and is pretty light. But it’s pretty much FASS (feet and Ass). Terrible, bitter taste and not a beer I would  recommend. Usually love Ballast Points beers, but not this one.

Ok, so, I'm off on my Talladega excursion, and as said, found my way to Chattabrewchee Southern Brewhouse.

I didn't take any pictures of the mason jar full of beer because, I didn't pour one full. This place is a fully self serve spot. They operate on a card system. Very cool. You hand off your credit card and they give you an assigned hard card. It tracks your purchases as you slip it into a slot to pour your own beer. Between $0.40 and $0.50 per oz.

They have 11 beers on tap so 2 oz.s per beer equals about a pint. I skipped the gose and poured 3 oz. of the Raspberry Hefeweizen. Great friggen beer.

Am on the road for a long trip after all. Didn't go overboard.Very small operation. They basically can the beer before your eyes if you buy it from the tap. Veteran owned and operated. Awesome to support a retired Army Ranger whose wife is deployed in Korea as we speak.

I did buy one of each of the wax sealed bottles. Number 54 of the whiskey barrel aged black cherry chocolate porter and number 9 of the rum aged black cherry chocolate porter.

The whiskey barrel aged is almost gone. The Rum barrel aged... well I got a video of him dipping my bottle #9. Awesome!

Talk about full experience. Great place and the manager Brian who is dipping my bottle in the video was great. The brew master Doug was great as well. Unique experience for a beer tourist.

Now I'm roundin' out my beer tour at Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden Alabama. Ordered a burger and drinking a half pint of the PomeReader Berliener- Weisse while I wait. Figured it was light enough that I won't get too far ahead of myself when I still have a little travelling left to do.

Couple weeks ago I went to Memphis. Had a lot of beer and thee best ribs I've ever had. Also stopped in at Ghost River brewing. Cool place. Like it a lot. A lot smaller than the huge warehouse taprooms in Ohio, which was nice. Decent beers.

Also went Taft's Brewporium in Cincy and listened to my dad's band. This is their secondary location which was like a big warehouse. Fun place. Decent beers.

Here's another good Listermann. One thing I noticed in the South was that the New England/hazy style IPA was virtually non-existent. Couldn't find one anywhere.....asked a friend who likes craft beer and is from Memphis, and he looked like he had no idea what I was talking about... In the Midwest there's more NE IPAs than anything.

That’s really surprising to hear about NE/Hazy’s. Every brewery seems to have juicy IPA’s, hell almost all the grocery stores around here have a few variety’s on the shelf.

I always get one of those beers when I go to my neighborhood habachi/sushi restaurant

I am a Sapporo fan when I do Japanese, which honestly is not too often (usually go Chinese, Vietnamese or Korean BBQ).  But I have always found it to be a solid lager.

You’re a pussy if you don’t crush that whole cooler yourself before the green flag comes out 😂.

I let us all down bro. I didn't have enough hair on my ass to do it...

...and I had help from some folks from Shreveport...

...and a hsfb defensive backs coach and his wife from McClasky Pennsylvania and oddly enough another person from Shreveport...

We all tried really hard though!
