DLS 2018 Top 3 Opponent ranking

This thread discusses which of DLS top opponents will give them the most trouble, and why.

1. SBG opponent (MD or SJB).  - Because they can control the LOS on both sides, and have better QB/WR than DLS has DB's.

2. The Bishop - handled DLS in 2017 and has too much speed for DLS to manage.

3.  Central Catholic/Folsom (tie) - Central played DLS  rolling up 300+ yards in 2017 and completed the season with their first section title in 80+ years.  Coach returns his QB and has the program on the upswing, figuring to be improved this year.   Folsom has potential but has not been tested and is one dimentional and is also one injury away from being a mediocre challenge.

The rest of the schedule will feature baby seal beatdowns with both St. Francis and California both being down in 2018.  The NCS playoffs will once again be a disgrace, and unbecoming of a team the caliber of DLS

Youre moving to fast Idc how good or"Elite" a team is you dont start giving them credit for games that havent happened yet...

What if DLS somehow loses before they meet up with MD or SJB its a possibility. Upsets do happen...

LMFAO!

One dimensional? Nevermind the RB with offers from everywhere. One of the top WRs in the country.

They are one of the most balanced teams around. Look at their stats. Blows Servite away.

What a joke lol such a lazy post

Week 0 they will lose. Then everything is out the door and many people in this forum will be in tears.

DLS was beat on in this forum by almost everyone that isnt a DLS fan. Then Folsom fans came on and exposed themselves as highly obnoxious and now its easier to root against Folsom than it is DLS.

It's very easy to see why Sammy always had their number. Posting midget league images in their stead and whatnot.

Their fans are just as small.

DLS was beat because most of the posters on here are from GA and are extremely jealous. Still fighting for relevancy in 2018 when DLS had that 30 years ago.

Remmeber who started it all. You should be thanking them everyday for even making HS football relevant nationally.

You still aren't relevant. But keep trying. Maybe someday.

We had fun watching DLS lose OOS year after year, then go back to CA and beat on everyone.

I was one of the 1st GA fans in this little "National" posse we have here. I joined in late 2010 when we were all still on Rivals. There were far more NJ, OH, FL, TX, and CA guys than there were GA guys back then... I only remember 1 other actually. This flood of GA posters began 2-3 years ago. DLS has been getting shit on longer than 2-3 years.

You being a newbie wouldnt know that.

DLS has been the standard bearer for HS football on the national scene since before you were probably born.

You GA boys, having just got high speed internet probably in 2010, probably just figured out there were teams west of the Mississippi.

You should be thanking DLS for allowing you to even be mentioned.

Well... In 2010 North Gwinnett did beat SoCals defending SBG Open rep from 2009... Crenshaw... 17-12.

So we figured it out then.

DLS is the national standard bearer in California (brainwashed idiots)... Real football is played in the East... Specifically the Southeast.

As far as DLS all time victories I'd have to go with

2001 Poly

1998 Mater Dei

2014 Cen10

2003 Evangel Christian

2000 Mater Dei

Sammy, I think you have some of the years mixed up. 2015 Cen 10 better than 2014 Cen10.   MD 1999 better than 2000 MD.

Did Crenshaw even finish in the  Ca top 20 in 2010 ?

CalPreps had them right at #20 overall in CA.

They were better than that... But because of their schedule and the idiotic way teams' playoffs can come to an end even when winning, they didnt get any higher than #20.

Yeah Valdosta never won all those MNCs in the 60s, 70s, & 80s...

All those great Parkview teams never existed...

Lets just say DLS has been exposed as a California powerhouse, and a national whipping boy.

Think about how many years DLS has lost OOS or to a SoCal team, yet hasnt lost to a NorCal team in 30ish years... That says a lot about NorCal...

6 times in the last 10 years, DLS has lost OOS and went back to run through NorCal, and either win or go to the SBG Open... 3 of those 6 times they lost OOS and won the SBG Open...

2008: 12-2

OOS: Don Bosco Prep NJ 23, DLS 21

DLS rolls through NorCal and loses to the SoCal SBG rep Cen10 21-16...

----

2009: 13-2 (DLS suffers 2 OOS loses and still wins the CIF State Title...

OOS: Don Bosco Prep NJ 30, DLS 6 ... Lakeland 31, DLS 30

DLS loses twice OOS, still reps NorCal and beats the SoCal SBG rep 28-14

-----

2011: 13-1

OOS: St. Thomas Aquinas FL 30, DLS 6

DLS loses by 24 to STA and goes back to win the SBG Open beating Westlake 35-0

-----

2015: 13-1

OOS: Euless Trinity TX 26, DLS 21

DLS loses OOS again, wins SBG Open again over Cen10 28-21

----

2016: 11-2

OOS: East UT 23, DLS 21

DLS loses to East, rapes NorCal, and loses to SJB in the SBG Open

------

2017: 11-2

OOS: Bishop Gorman NV 34, DLS 7

DLS loses OOS, rapes NorCal, loses to Mater Dei in the SBG Open

Four of those games could have went either way.

DLS actually has one of the best (if not THE best) overall body of work showings of any sanctioned HS team listed in the dynasty Top 10 .  SJB is also in that mix.
