Agree. I don’t see how the coaches did not assess this in the off-season. Did they not learn a damn thing from playing Allen and Katy in back to back weeks last year? The new OC is not as good either.

LT is a program that learns from their games, losses.  They’ll adjust in the offseason for sure.

The thing about last year though is they went 1-1with Katy and Allen and almost beat Allen. So may have been thinking size up front wasn’t an issue.

Agreed. LT was not as good as expected this year anyway. I’m not making excuses here, just saying that I didn’t think they would come this far. Westlake exposed LT and the weaknesses were either masked or LT was good enough in certain ways to overcome it (Judson game).

They need to get faster.  Much faster.

Carter needs to administer the most grueling off-season program in history. A hint of Junction Boys. Hire a S&C coach who will push these kids to their breaking point. You either train 100% or you don’t. THIS is where games like today are won or closer. The drop-off of physical ability since 2016 has been substantial.

Honest question here.  If you have an o line that averages say 250lbs, but you need them to be more like 275 the next season to compete with bigger teams, how do you make that off season adjustment?

Lake Travis trains very hard and so does NS

NS is the youngest team in state.

NS went full contact one on one as part of their halftime warmup🤘

I am talking with best players too.  Sight to see!!

Not hard enough. They need to be pushed to their breaking point, make them want to quit. Force them to adapt and overcome. Again, as they always say, train insane or remain the same.

This Duncanville-Allen game is going to be a track meet.

Also, damn. Everyone knew North Shore was good but I expected LT to put up a better fight than that. Scary thing is NS is here to stay for 3-4 more years....already my preseason #1 team for next year.

Duncanville returns a lot too on both sides. They’ll pick up more talent as well
