Good dude but not really a big believer in his coaching. He has some good young talent coming up in that Lee program, that's the main reason Lee MAY be on the uprise but we'll see.

What have you seen from him not to believe in his coaching?  I know Lee had some set backs this year with some injuries.  Pretty good RB got hurt on the 2nd series of the year.

they building from the Jr highs up.  Varsity coaches helping at every Jr High practice.

If they have talent coming...IMO the coaching will not hurt them.

I will assure you they didn't have 40 kids but the 22 that played on Offense and Defense were some bad ass boys.

But I'm sure there is no way they could have played against Texas 5A back then.  Because all that Talent would have been mitigated against all those AAAAAA's 🤣

This interesting how can those little bEast Texas Schools out perform all those bigger schools in producing NFL talent and if you Look at Longview, Tyler and Lufkin you will understand why it's called BEast Texas.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/schools/high_schools.cgi?hs_state=TX

Schools that have produced 6 or more NFL Players

The bEast Texas Schools enlarged.  Only JT, Longview, Lee and Lufkin are the usual 6A types the rest are mostly 4A & below in Beast Texas.  Now look all the Big Schools they dominate.  And these Schools are mostly within 40 miles of each other. 😎

Cuero is the highest rated 4A (small school) School with 10.

@Texasball @Horsefly

What are your takes on this game?  It is suppose to be a big game in Texas and made Maxpreps top 10.  The funny thing is a 3-3 5A Frisco Wakeland  kicked 6A Pearce's ass 35 -28 their only loss so far.   Yet Sulphur Springs beat Wakeland.

If this game is close what does it say about 6A D'ville?  I was impressed with them but Skyline is terrible and hard to judge off that game.  Does Pearce stand a chance?

Pearce (5-1) vs. Dville  (6-0)

Pearce (Richardson, Texas)  5-1 @ No. 17 Duncanville (Texas) 6-0
Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Pearce: QB Bo Brewer (5-11, 190), RB Dequan Landon (5-7, 180), WR Blake Waters (5-11, 150), S Bradford Holley (6-2, 180), LB Isaiah Polk (5-10, 195)

Duncanville: QB Ja'Quinden Jackson (6-2, 200), S Chris Thompson (6-2, 195), ATH Marquez Beason (5-10, 180), WR Zeriah Beason (6-0, 170), S Stacy Brown (6-2, 195)

Duncanville has been as dominate as anyone in the country this year. The Panthers are allowing less than four points per game and have yet to be in a competitive game this season. They are loaded with talent and it all starts with their 4-star quarterback Jackson. Pearce averages over 40 points per game and the Mustangs face the toughest defense by far on Friday. The winner of this game controls their own destiny to win the 6A-Region 1 District 8 title.

I remember David Whitmore.  Saw him play at SFA, in Nacogdoches many times.  He was a mean SOB, and one of my favorite players growing up as a kid!

Cool list.  Amazing to see a school like CC Miller on there.

Beaumont Charlton Pollard was a football factory back in the day when Beaumont was the pro football capital of the US.  Willie Ray Smith was a legend.  My grandfather knew him well.  The stories of that man and his discipline tactics was legendary.

Sad to think about how far a program like Yates has fallen.  No one wanted to play the Lions in the 80’s...  and Dallas Carter is another storied program that had slipped away.

They have a common district opponent in berkner.  Pearce was trailing 24-21 going into the 4th and scored 14 unanswered pts to win 35-24.  Duncanville didn't need such come-from-behind heroics as they coasted to a 63-0 (42-0 half)victory over berkner.

give me DV big!!

Thanks then I will keep my Argyle vs Paris 4A battle for tomorrow night.  What's your take on this one?

BEast Texas vs DFW in the Metroplex.  Best wins.

Paris over Gilmer but lost to P.G.

Argyle beat L.E. Stephenville and La Vega and have Melissa coming up too.  They will be battle tested.

PG only lost to Carthage by 7 a few weeks back.  So that loss doesn't look too bad.  This will be a good one, but I'll take argyle at home in a close one.

That team also had Larry Centers from little ole Tatum - All he did was have incredible NFL career - when he retired he held the NFL record for receiving yards for RB's - since has been broken.

Shhhhhh they don't know about Dem small School ballers.  Homer Jones of Pittsburg another bEast Texas power invented the Spike in the NFL with the Giants.  I met him several times.  That's old School.  Larry Centers Heckuva player in the day.

Whitmore could flat out hit.  Look at the secondary Daimgerfield put in the NFL.  Thomas Everett 2x SB Champ with Cowboys drafted by Steelers.  Eric Everett with Eagles and Whitmore another SB Champion.  Yeah no way those kids could have covered 5A kids.  Lmao

This is interesting.  The 30 best rookie defensive seasons ever.

6 Texas kids only Everson Walls at Richardson Pearce played at the highest level

David Whitmore 3A Daimgerfield

Zach Thomas 3A Pampa

James Francis 4A La Marque

Darryl Greene 4A Jessie H. Jones

#1. Dick Night Train Lane All Black Anderson HS in Austin.  Now it is a 6A in Austin.

Lmao

I once knew this dude from Pittsburg TX who could bridge backwards then balance on his head in that position then could rep 225lbs with olympic bar from that position.  His way of doing Decline presses because he didn't have decline press bench in HS back in 80's.

Max Preps is so off base - the site is only worth looking at schedules and history of results.

This game will not be close.  Duncanville will win by 40 or more.
