I wouldn’t be shocked if Aledo or HP won, I just think guyer and RW will live up to the preseason hype

Excellent interview with HC Walsh @ guyer.  He's high on this team, compares them to his 2010 team.

He loves the UIL practice rule change, said his team is far ahead where they were this time last year.  There are some elements that they are already sharp on .

he's very high on his OL, I checked his roster on MaxPreps...they have some big boys!

Duncanville 4-star linebacker Kendrick Blackshire expected to miss entire season with torn ACL

The nationally ranked Duncanville football team is dealing with a huge loss as it prepares to open the season Friday.

Duncanville coach Reginald Samples said Thursday that he thinks four-star junior linebacker Kendrick Blackshire will miss the entire season with a torn ACL. Samples said Blackshire will have surgery in a couple of weeks.

Blackshire (6-2, 250) is rated the second-best inside linebacker in the nation in the Class of 2021 by 247Sports.com and is ranked as the 20th-best overall recruit in the state. Blackshire lists 27 college offers on his recruiting page, including national runner-up Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M.

Blackshire posted a message on Twitter on Wednesday, saying "Man y'all just don't know the pain I'm feeling inside it's eating me up." He later deleted the tweet.

Duncanville, ranked No. 8 in the nation by USA Today, opens the season Friday with a 7:30 p.m. game at Lancaster.

Blackshire transferred from Mesquite Horn to Duncanville but was injured during an offseason workout. Duncanville was the Class 6A Division I state runner-up last season, finishing 14-1
