Whiteshoes,

Good call on Chicago Marist....they tossed around a very good Nazarath Academy team for the 2nd year in a row. They are big athletic and nasty on the lines. One of the few teams along with Chicago Brother Rice that can realistically challenge  Lincoln-Way East for the 8A Title. Do you see any realistic challenges for Warren Central this year ? They look to be head and shoulders above everyone else this year.

Hey bro. I get it. A lot of years all the region 1 teams could claim the same as you do for OLU.

Alas we understand that losses mean something.

Its not the loss that means anything, its how the losing team showed against the Top 1-50 teams they played.

OLU was tied 21-21 with SJB late in second quarter, so they were able to move the ball and score offensive TD, as opposed to SJB who had 3 kickoff return TD.  Not saying OLU is SJB, but they competed with them well as a Top 100 should play SJB.

Same goes to their game with Mission Viejo, which they lost by 2 points, and missed the winning FG as time expired

Same goes for the loss to Cen10 which  OLU also competed well with.

Not saying OLU is the caliber of those teams, but certainly OLU is a Top 100 team.

Not that a Colquitt guy would know anything about playing a "good" team.

it is just soooooooooooooooo much easier to plat a Colquitt type schedule.

One or two local "good teams" at seasons start. A full season of meaningless victories, they a tourney where some one has to win.

So different than week after week of elite football. Starting the season with top OOS teams from across the country.

Just apples and apricots.

File under excuse thread.

You'll feel better and be able to move past it.

Colquitt plays a DLS schedule minus the occasional top OOS opponent.

The only difference is that DLS has a 290 game win streak in Nor Cal and Colquitt does not.

exactly what i was gonna say

i did not because you have to respect that DLS because they do reach out and get together with the best.

Colquitt not only hides in plain sight but then blows up the level of the teams they do play. I'll never forget that CA team they were saying was the best in CA... I had never heard of them and can't even recall their names. Or when they played Plant.... did Plant even finish in the top 500?

Colquitt IS the worst top  tier program in the country at proving they can play. Also with the biggest mouth. Figures.

A loss is a loss. Competed and got beat means you lost.

There are a lot of teams around the country that play grind em football that could keep top teams close. Everyone can't be top 100.

If you are losing... it means you lost. The type of ball you play may contribute to how close games are, but you still lost.

If it happens once, and you beat some other top teams then I can see the argument.

They lose to every good team though. They're beat up material.

Flyover country for a top 100 poll bro. Sorry.

I think you were too tough on Cy-Fair.  That's a big tumble, for losing to an undefeated rival.

Ok so a top 100 team is supposed to lose 63-28?

Only in CA can you get Boatraced by not 1 but 2 teams and still claim to be Top 100.

Let this be a team from any other state doing this and youd be  pissing blood out of your mangina...

Yet you want to keep 4-3 OLU in the top 100...

At this point it's not even funny...

No wait it is funny...

This is what I'm talking about You want Credit for losses!

Thank God CFB rankings aren't like that otherwise Rutgers would dethrone Alabama...

And Tennessee would've Been in the top 5...

Really you sure it's not the other way around...

So what they kept it close at the half there's 4 quarters in a football game Sammy...

If you're tied 21-21 At the half but lose 63-28 in the end that's not competitive...

It sounds to me  like they got out played...

You're not gonna Win the game like that...
