Second, is the fact that the economy seems to be slowing as evidenced by the fact that manufacturing activity has contracted twice in a row. No later than the close of this week, I will update my opinion and analysis including a post of any trading action I may have taken. I am sure the Fed will cut rates aggressively in order to try and ward off market weakness. I found that comment deeply disturbing at the time, and in light of the seizing up of the Repo market, even more troubling now. I actually hope that my worst fears are not true.
