Mainland has lost to the eventual State Champ every year in the playoffs from 2013-2016 and that team was always top 3 in the state. In 2013.. Miami Central would beat Dillard 59-14 in the 2nd rd, Heritage 54-3 in Quarters, Mainland 28-15 in the Semis, and Armwood 52-7 in the Finals. They came within 13 points... when no other team came within 45 in the playoffs. This is the year MC finished Top 5. --- 2014 - Mainland beat the 5A State Champ, AHP, in the regular season 42-30... Mainland lost to Miami Central in the Semis again just 31-21. MC would beat Armwood in the state title 24-10 the next week... ---- 2015 - Mainland lost to Miami Central in the Quarterfinals 33-21... They only had one above average year in their school history that started in 2001. This year seems to be their best as of now. They are explosive on offense obviously. They had first game jitters on national tv vs a powerhouse team during their dynasty. And they kept fighting to keep it respectable. Could have folded up shop like Norcross and lost by 50-60. But they kept fighting As the year goes on they could be humming. I don't give a shit about them losing to a Georgia team or anyone. That's just message board banter. You used this same type of BS to prop up Vista Murrieta. How's that working out for you? Teams have turnover, and can look very different from one year to the next.
