It takes paring your team down to 50 kids, telling the band to kick rocks so you can fly all over the country according to some folks on here. StJoesFanboy Posted September 29, 2019 Report Share Posted September 29, 2019 Here's the dilio: we're a fun state with a fun group of guys. we're a little off, but interesting. most are fan boys like me. we're real Jersey girls to the core. of course we're inferior to Tx, Fla, Cali, Ohio, and Ga. But we had a huge run not so long along, and so, how do we not think that that's possible every year. this Board should relish that. real success is only 8 yrs back and we had it for a long time, and almost-success has been lurking, in our mind's eye the past few years this year our champion is Joes, which has been national since at least the 90s. we don't have deep talent like the big boys (and so we can never field an MD or J Bosco or top Tx team--i don;t think we have a 5 star this year), but our kids are tough, and the coaching, except for Toal, is good but if you're gonna put teams together like MD, which has a WR who scored 3 TDs in 3 minutes and 15 seconds against a very good and loaded team, then the best we can hope for is 2nd tier, and if 2nd tier is SFA, SJC, STA, tier 2s from Tx, then we got problems. we'll hang tough but come up short. 2 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
