concha
Per 247Sports, Ohio State's commitments for the 2021 class hold a recruiting class score of 294 points. The record is around 325 points and typical winning class in recent years hits somewhere in the 290-325 range. Five star players tend to add nearly 30 points each. Four star kids can add just a few points up to the mid 20s. Right now Ohio State is trending to possily even break 400 points. It's looking like Georgia is predicted to have have a very strong 2021 showing also, but they are currently well behind in actual commitments. These are their current commits (the first number under their height/weight is their player quality score and the three numbers below those are their national player ranking, national position ranking and then in-state player rank). The first three guys are 5 stars, the next 12 are four stars and last two are three stars. The Buckeyes have commitments from 11 of the Top 100 and are expecting a few more. Sweetlarry
Great class. Gotta coach em up like O. and it’s April. I don’t get excited about kids who are committing eight months before they can sign and not having taken any official visits. If they are able to keep them all it would be a great class for sure. Most of that is pretty dated and most pertains to the Cooper era, a veritable Dark Ages for Ohio State. Ohio State is 2-1 in the last ten years.

Interesting article. https://247sports.com/Article/College-football-recruiting-development-NFL-Draft-picks-results--146621690/ The Buckeyes are ranked #2 in recruiting development (Bama #1). I'm just hoping they do retain most of these kids. They're also on the hunt for more, so there will be gains to replace losses. I think the real limiting factor is going to be available scholies. The Bucks are apparently off to a hot start with the 2022 class also.

I think landing Justin Fields helped them alot recruiting wise. They also have like 4 out of the top 5 recruiting coaches.

I think what's helping draft-wise is the 63.8% number below for the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes. When you can approach a 4 or 5 star kid and tell him that not even Bama can offer him a better chance at getting a call on draft day, you have the best sales pitch in college football. You're correct I think they're number 1 all time now - here was end of 2019 https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2019-09-03/colleges-most-represented-2019-nfl-rosters Craziest thing on that list is the Miami, Florida and Florida St are in the top 6 and they have been terrible for the last 6 years. Again - a lot of these guys on here are clueless to the players LA has lost over the years i.e. Reggie Wayne, Ed Reed, Eddie Lacy - these are obviously just off the top of my head. Point is I laugh when people act as if LSU couldn't field a nat'l chamionship team with just about everyone from in state .....they are actually one of the few states than can and the ONLY state of it's size that can
BUFORDGAWOLVES
Ohio State is kicking ass in recruitment. OSU is also leading in minor, minor, minor recruiting violations. Which tells me that the staff is working hard and being aggressive. bgw

RedZone
Looking at a lot of schools that are picking up early "verbals" they never received in past years. Funky looking Top 10 right now in 2021 college football team recruiting. I think Covid-19 may be spooking some kids into committing early. I don't see that Top 10 holding up. RedZone
LSU with 6 commits currently, Alabama 3, Oklahoma 2 and etc. That stuff right there is NOT going to hold up, my friends. lol Ohio St may very well win the team recruiting battle this cycle, but they will eventually be challenged. Wait for it! Wait for it!
