What’s funny is a small percentage of the country owned slaves. A very small number. And the white people who opposed slavery were massive in numbers. Thousands of  White people died trying to end slavery. Always gets lost in time. 
 

America does have parts of history of racism, injustice and oppression. But so does literally every other country in recorded history. It’s woven into the fabric of mankind. All of humanity is guilty at some point. 
 

But to cherry pick parts of history that push your narrative is lazy, counter productive, and hypocritical. Just because you hate the country doesn’t mean everyone else does. Slavery 150 years ago is not the reason you are piece of shit today

It's true that most Confederate troops didn't own slaves and weren't fighting directly in support of slavery but that's precisely what the actual war was about.

Go read the state's declarations of secession. It's just an objective fact.
