And THAT salon had to file for bankruptcy, because of Comrade Legosi!

And, she won’t ever lose a minute of sleep over it.   Her fashion look is “shameless hypocrisy”.  But lots of people lapping it up like so many kittens around a dish of warm milk.

The Biden administration sent the following message to Americans trapped in Afghanistan:

To American Citizens,

Thank you for registering your request to be evacuated from Afghanistan. The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan has confirmed that an undefined number of U.S. government provided flights will begin soon. Please make your way to Hamid Karzai International Airport at this time.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR SECURITY AS YOU MAKE THIS TRIP.

During Trump Presidency, it was disappointing watching Trump and Pelosi going back and forth on each other with the emotional intelligence of 13 year olds.  Both too arrogant, too stubborn, too insecure, to treat each other with any sort of respect.  Totally unacceptable.

I love the false equivalency.

Biden effs up Afghanistan.  Even Democrats in Washington are saying it.  But the brain-dead apologists here ….  “But Trump”.

A few days old - but no less important.  Even if ignored by the press. Long past time to end nation-building there and bring our young men and women home alive.  Against the pushback from the usual national security bureaucracy.  A courageous decision - and the right one.

Yup, the Taliban will violate it.  And Trump will get pilloried when they do.  And it still needed to be done.  That is the courageous part.  And it was a story for like one news cycle

Trump pretends he's a credible critic of Biden's Afghanistan policy

Four months ago, after Biden unveiled a timeframe for the United States' withdrawal from Afghanistan, Trump celebrated the news as a "wonderful" and "positive" development. The Republican's only complaint at the time: Biden intended to get out by Sept. 11, and Trump called for an even more rapid exit. "[W]e can and should get out earlier," the former president said in a written statement, adding, "I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible."

Three weeks ago, Trump held a rally in Ohio and took credit for the U.S. exit. "I started the process," he boasted. "All the troops are coming back home. They couldn’t stop the process. 21 years is enough. Don’t we think? 21 years. [The Biden administration] couldn’t stop the process. They wanted to, but it was very tough to stop the process."

The only thing typical here is Bormio calling something courageous when Trump did it and then pretending that it was "effed" up when Biden simply followed through on it.

It wasn’t what he did, it was how he did it. And to bring thousands of Afghanis who are unvetted and most likely carrying terrorists in their ranks while stranding Americans there was a black eye.

You seem to be getting your primary source of news from MSDNC. It’s actually a lot worse than your being spoon fed

You are fundamentally ignorant and so you vomit at the mouth about people who have worked for the US government for years.

Balkan countries affirm US alliance by accepting Afghan refugees

Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia are the first European countries to say they’ll provide temporary shelter for Afghans bound for the U.S. after fleeing the Taliban conquest of their country.

Most are civilians who worked with U.S. or international missions in Afghanistan and are being evacuated to the Continent as they await U.S. visas, according to media reports.

Anybody who reads understood that Kabul was going to collapse when we left. It just so happens that it collapsed two weeks *before* we left.

No matter.

If the decision was made that no more American lives should be sacrificed for this effort then a messy exit was acceptable if it meant upholding that charge.

To claim otherwise is stupid and/or disingenuous.

Ultimately our adventure in Afghanistan will come to no beneficial end.  The Kurds and the Turks have been fighting for over a thousand years.  Really want to be in the middle of that?  Wait till the Balkans flares up again.  People in the world fight.  We cannot participate every single time.  And I readily admit my thinking on this has shifted.  Tired of seeing young men and women die for little purpose.

We go somewhere, get involved, calm it down, and then leave troops.  Over and over - never to leave.  We need a new approach.

As to your statement, did I say Pelosi planned the riot? No.  That’s your twisted response.  Pelosi knew there was going to be a demonstration, she was in a position to alleviate the situation by bringing more resources to bear on the situation.  She failed to do that knowing that the risk of allowing bad behavior could easily be spun into an alarmist position supporting the “Trump supporters = domestic terrorists narrative” that the FBI had been pumping up over the whole four years of the administration.

But, you’re the one that posted the meme suggesting that The Taliban and Trump supporters are the same.  If you really believe that, why don’t you show some courage and go stroll around Kabul for a bit?  I’m sure you could walk around rural Indiana, Ohio, or any other place that voted for Trump and not for a second fear for your life.  Or maybe take your little meme and walk up to a US serviceman returning from Afghanistan and stick it in his face.

What do you think would happen if someone was crazy enough to wear a "I voted for Joe" or a "Trump Lost" tee shirt at the Capital on 1-6-21??...the Trump terrorists would have killed them IMO. They would have killed Mike Pence too...they're are just as dangerous and crazy as the nuts in Afghanistan IMO.

We had a commitment to the Afghans that fought with us, trusted us.  And to call the Afghans cowards and say they are unwilling to fight when they died at rates far higher than Americans is shameful and utter BS.  As both Seth Moulton, a Democrat congressman from Massachusetts who fought in Afghanistan, as well as a British MP veteran of the Afghan war, have said in the past couple days.  The time had come to leave, but to do so without planning or concern for those left behind is disgraceful and dishonorable.  And a permanent stain on this country and the Biden presidency.

and who did Trump ever treat with respect in his 4 years??..LOL..we all saw the show...He was going to hire the "best and brightest"...at first he loved all his generals..until they said something he didn't like then he'd throw them under a bus and move on...he didn't even treat real republicans with respect...if you weren't a Trump boot licker he had no use for you..the only person he treated with respect was his daughter...everyone else is expendable in his world...we all saw it first hand. he didn't know how to be a leader and reach out to the other side. He was too prideful to even attempt that...if he would have been civil at all to the left he would have won the Presidency....instead he choose to be a dick and he lost by 7 million votes...a one term MISTAKE!

It's a fact.

They didn't.

Afghanistan’s military collapse: Illicit deals and mass desertions

The spectacular collapse of Afghanistan’s military that allowed Taliban fighters to walk into the Afghan capital Sunday despite 20 years of training and billions of dollars in American aid began with a series of deals brokered in rural villages between the militant group and some of the Afghan government’s lowest-ranking officials.

The deals, initially offered early last year, were often described by Afghan officials as cease-fires, but Taliban leaders were in fact offering money in exchange for government forces to hand over their weapons, according to an Afghan officer and a U.S. official.

Within a little more than a week, Taliban fighters overran more than a dozen provincial capitals and entered Kabul with no resistance, triggering the departure of Afghanistan’s president and the collapse of his government. Afghan security forces in the districts ringing Kabul and in the city itself simply melted away. By nightfall, police checkpoints were left abandoned and the militants roamed the streets freely.

That commitment was agreed to end May 31st.

Biden actual extended it by 3 months.

We were getting out ASAP.

With ZERO planning.  And the CIA is letting it be known they told Biden this would happen.  They can knife Democrat presidents too, I guess.

Of course all of this is a lie.

The very refugees that we, indeed, helped escape are being attacked by every right-winger here and on television.

They don't want us to help them at all, but we are.

You have no words for those people.

Nope.

Only fake outrage.
