Information?

In regards to:

Players

Schools

Etc

Funny you should ask.  The Executive Committee is currently at our off season retreat in the Catskills and todays topic was the Mission Statement.  We made some good progress prior to tee time.  In keeping with our desire for transparency, I encourage other members who attended the retreat as spectators, to post some of the Mission Statements that did not make the cut.

Below is where we left off on our current working version.

You've given me pause, my man. This place was created because I always liked Cheers, but never really thought about the mission...I'll have to do that.

My first thought is information, you mine quality information for the result. Having sift through it, is a deal in itself. Pretty obvious some sharp tacks on here.

The banter is good, the Cheers reference is a good point, meshing the personalities.

Bahahaha, okay got that out of the way.

I'm serious, okay let's not call Mission Statement, let's call it "What or Who PrepGridiron is about and what do we want or would like to see here", okay that was clumsy! See why sometimes "MS" works, granted it's been beat to death on a corporate level.

Sometimes guidelines or structure keep things "in the lane".

If the originators made a statement "Hey, we just want a lifetime of Natty Lite beers in cans and endless supply of popcorn to watch deez fools go at it" well then at that point I would say mission accomplished.

It is a fair question....and I think we should probably direct this query more to the "parent company"....Colquitt Media Group.

I would surmise that Rab could clarify everything in a two paragraph manifesto.

It might require an extra Zoloff.......BUT....

Sir Rufus, For me personally, not speaking for others... I'm going with propofol under the guidance of a anesthesiologist not to be confused with the cardiologist whom administered that toxic cocktail to Michael Jackson.

Any encounter with the above mentioned will result in a not savory outcome being lucid and alert.

I can't speak for Prep, but, I thought initially this place was kind of like a life boat as the old National HSFB 100 board bellied up after the curator decided to be a comic book guy instead.

Since then it has mainly been a hangout for users to discuss HSFB in general and for sure from a national lens. It has kind of morphed each off season into sports in general, and of course we eventually had to branch off an Off Topic board because it's practically impossible to keep everyone away from hot button issues unrelated to HSFB or sports in general.

This year, of course the site initiated a Reader's Poll for HSFB using volunteers from varying areas of the country so perhaps the site could morph again into something more like the old NHSF100 site.

I think Prep has been very good at just letting the place take it's own path and kind of live it's own life.

As far as where he would like to see it go, I guess maybe he'll come back with an answer to that after he really thinks over it.

Some characters on that show and certainly here.   Who would fit with each character persona and make this elite top 10 list? :).  I'll start with the highest degree of difficulty.   :D

Coach  -  Drummer/Center   (love you man!)

Sam

Norm

Cliff

Frasier

Woody

Paul   (might be hard to claim this one)

Harry the Hat (con man)

Nick (Carla's Ex)

Gary (competing bar owner and prankster)

I thought it was to talk high school football. There is more supposition here than actual play. "What if" instead of how your school did and who Is the star and how is he doing. I thought I would get to know other players through convo and video. I guess this will do.

Here you go...meet bru McCoy
