I was using their info to make the list a quicker exercise with flaws. Absolutely, given time we can peel the onion a bit more from even the 74 list or just the 50. I can go back and give a list of the qualifiers who didn't have an OOS game and would have made the list if interested... to add also and then fine tune the qualifiers further. From this smaller list will be easier to manually look at results for 4 years on CP with ratings and then creating a W-L record as well (for defined top 100/250/500) on excel sheet could be done for example. It would take time and I gladly hand the baton someone else lol. The dynasty ranking concept is a good one. Even with the current qualifiers the list is pretty solid. Some excellent teams are missing due to qualifiers (Texas teams mainly). About 1/2 of the teams don't belong - St. Joes regional, PC, The Maryland teams except Dematha, St. John's;

RedZone
Pretty humorous seeing some of those teams on that list. You could have a "running clocked party" with several of them recently.

HawgGoneIt
@golfaddict1 I wouldn't change the criteria for a few cry babies. It's been the same since I've been following along. Also, funny of crybaby @Sammyswordsman throwing that ISB comment in there considering the Georgia team on the list would be there with or without ISB.

Maybe cuz I wasn't tryna single out any teams, just tryna do my civic duty and offer suggestions about how to improve the product #teamplayer

There has to be a better way to make this more equitable. Perhaps using a point value of Schedule strength x Winning % vs Top 1000 %. Losses vs Top 10 national should be thrown out and not counted because very few teams play Top 10 national teams. Fill the list with Cali teams and....problem solved !!!!! golfaddict1
http://warrennolan.com/football/2017/elochess @steeler01@Mjd33 etc who follow NCAA ball well, how would you rate this rating system ranking for end of year 2017 in comparison to say other rankings? FIFA will be changing to this system for world rankings. Problem with hsfb is the very limited data point correlation between schools. I think I’ve posted about this before, but if somehow we setup some type of base start for a select number of teams and adjust points by wins/losses based on opponent quality (you become Ned Freeman lol, by defining the critical quality level). As discussed, a top 1000 w-l record can be very skewed and for some schools comparison to others is not realistic. W-L record vs top 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 I think would surely place emphasis towards a performance based system. I think it would be cool to see a hybrid elo system attempt. Comp polls we can probably use up to top 50 and we have enough posters here to do regional rankings and that can get the schools maybe to 100. After that Calpreps likely has to be used to tier a point scale for beating a top 250 school for example. PrepGridiron elo hsfb rating system 1.0 ? Bueller?
