Good chance MD and Bosco play 2 games this year and split...may give a FL or TX team a chance to take the MNC this year...

Perfect...

8 on each side is what I counted...

I put on their game vs DLS and got the #s from the players that started the 1st series and checked their grade...

That article was for Zachary. They return 16 per their HC.article.

UHigh returns 17.

Help me with the LA teams.

Please group (in 3 groups of 7) the following teams based on expected 2018 level of play.

Zachary, UHigh,  John Curtis, Bergen Catholic, St. Joes PA, North Gwinnett, Collquitt, Pittsburg, Folsom, OLU, JSerra, Narbonne, C-hill, Chandler, Mountain Pointe, Don Bosco, St. X, STA, Miami Central, Ben Davis, Trinity*

Caj, what are your games to watch in predistrict, will they be on the net or tv?

Most of the good ones should be on the WWW/stream and some Cox TV/Yurview TV.....I talked to the guy from Yurview on twitter and he said they are finalizing the last set of games and the TV/stream schedule would be out soon.

There are really too many good match-ups this year to list. It's like that sometimes in tiny states same for Mississippi.

5 that come mind.....no order

West Monroe vs John Ehret (NOLA)

John Curtis vs Warren Easton

UHigh vs Zachary

Destrehan vs Hahnville

UHigh vs Catholic-BR

North Gwinnett, Colquitt, UHigh,Chandler

Gotta find 3 more teams to go with these. None of the rest listed are on that tier.

SJP, BC, Zachary, JC, JSerra, OLU, Cedar Hill

Ben Davis, Pittsburgh, Trinity*, Foolson, Gauchos,  MP, MC, DBP, St.X, STA

Something along those lines.

Man, I don't know!

The 3 La teams will be solid. Colquitt returns 17, they should be good. Narbonne has a boat load of talent, but I don't think they play much better than a loaded Warren Easton truthfully...City ball at it's best.

I don't know.

You have 2922 posts on this board.  Shirley you should be more than willing to opine.

I'd be fine with you moving all the teams up a tier except one.

Clearly that one team could prove they belong in the tier convo after their first game.

I should have simply omitted that one, but, I was trying hard to stay with the guideline you set.

Very difficult this tier stuff.

I don't envy your job.

I had STA beating the Arizona team last year by 5 TDs and STA didn't score a point. 🤩

My opine ain't much......

All those teams should be good or you wouldn't haven't mentioned them.

Finding perfect dancing partners probably ain't my bag.

Oy Vey!  The sacrifices I make to entertain the masses.

The separation of teams by clear Tiers exists......the challenge is where to find them.  Karate has the closest analogy.

Black belts

Red Belts

Brown belts

Green belts

White Belts - devil

An undefeated white belt would get destroyed by a 2-5 Red Belt

Chill should not even be listed in preseason tiers, they are not preseason top 20 in Texas per Dave Campbell.

Yea and they reside in CA...

OLu Defense has talent and is senior laden.

Will have argument for the best LB crew in Trinity with 3 talented seniors. Brogden and Cloyd are strong run defenders who like to bang, solid tacklers. Sele Pemasa has apperently returned from his mistaken Bosco transfer and he is a 240 lb menace at LB; had a solid sophomore year.

They'll be pretty solid at CB with the athletic JoJo Hawkins on one side and CU commit, 6'1" Trujillo on the other, free of the mismanagement of the (former) Servite coaches.

Will also return senior Drew Ramirez at SS (6'0" 190) and also hearing good things about improvements by another senior to be, FS DeShawn Craig. Secondary also has 195 lb starting RB Flip Strong playing S as well.

The D Line is the biggest question mark on the team yet again. But there's good buzz around a 2020 kid, 6'5" DE/TE Ender Aguilar. 6'4" rising senior DL Jake Cossavella also returns to lead the group. Need some beef to step up at nose and 3 tech.

Will all this talent help them give up less than 50 against MD and Bosco, or less than 60 against Centennial in August? I don't know. Lot of the same kids from the winless TL defense of 2017. But they've got some guys, no doubt there. Will have to get better and more cohesive between now and kickoff.
