Sorry to tell you, that is not a crime.  Could be a political issue, but the act of receiving info by itself is not a crime.

when it's a foreign gov't making the offer it is a crime....you forgot to wrap yourself in your flag today??...turn a blind eye when needed??...anything for Trump's cause....:$

The New York Times is reporting that President-Elect  Trump was informed by U.S. Intelligence on January 6, 2017 of Putin's role in disrupting the U.S. Election.  Putin ordered the hacking.

So, no witch hunt.

No witch hunt.

No witch  hunt.

Trump has been misleading the public for over 18 months and the gullibles took it hook, line and sinker.  Trump was shown captured texts and emails proving Putin's involvement.

and the declassified report from FOX News                http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/01/06/report-on-russian-activities-and-intentions-in-recent-us-elections.html

@stanscript

Saw this too. We now know that in January 2017 Crime Family Don saw evidence of Putin ordering an attack on our election that included e-mail and text.  This news raised a paranoid thought, but first a partial review of related current events.

  • Friday: Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, tells us that “warning lights’ of Russian Cyber attacks are “blinking red.”
  • Monday:  Complete Fluster Cuck in Helsinki.
  • Tuesday:  Has anyone asked the NRA how their in-house Russian spy knew in March 2015 that the GOP would win the presidency in 2016?
  • Wednesday:  Asked if Russia was still targeting American elections, Trump said “No.” (acknowledging SHS denial, but I judge it to be weak)
  • Today: DHS Nielson says “I haven’t seen any evidence,” (of Russian interference in the election) while the house just voted to not provide additional funding to the agencies entrusted to ensure a free and fair election, so no extra personnel and resources to counter Russian interference.

And that’s just this week.  So now the paranoid thought: I sure hope conservative writer David Frum was wrong when he wrote:

“If conservatives become convinced they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject Democracy.”  David Frum - Trumpocracy

Look up "Situation with Russia". See what a big issue it is to the people polled (who tend Dem, btw).

Now think about the 24/7 bedwetting we see from the left and our "non-partisan" media.

There is a complete and widening disconnect between Washington and the rest of the country.  To many, Washington has no relevance to their lives, but is a show you watch for entertainment and then turn off when you are bored.  There is fatigue with handling the world’s problems when no one else is.  And frankly, they think the political class has lost its mind.

We are well past trumpocracy, my friend.

We're Russian toward peak Trump...

Forgot to mention that on Monday, a few hours after the news broke of Red Sparrows arrest, the Treasury Department announced a new rule sparing some tax exempt groups, including the NRA, from having to report their large donors to the IRS...Transparency!

But look a the bright side,  we get to look forward to all the hot-takes about whether or not Putin is an asset or liability to the Republican party when he starts stumping with Trump in the battleground states this fall...

Curious as to your thoughts as to why a guy supposedly in Putin's pocket would increase American defense spending, supply weapons to the Ukraine, push NATO to be stronger, push the Western European to buy US energy and not Russian, sign for sanctions on Russia...

Meanwhile, we had Obama promising post-election "flexibility", downplaying Russian threats, knowing about Russian campaign meddling and not acting, the sale of US uranium to Russian-controlled interests, Russians providing input into a politically dossier funded by Hillary's campaign and the DNC...

His actions are not pushing NATO closer but farther apart.  You can have all the funding in the world, but nations sitting at the Military Committee have to decide who is going to commit and what they will commit as far as military assets for future coalition activities.  (Having animosity and resentment doesn’t help) Many partners sit on the sidelines during coalition engagements.

His actions are necessary because in order for a defense alliance to work, you actually have to have countries with the ability to defend themselves themselves and one another.

Germany underspends hugely.

Most of their frontline fighter aircraft are not combat worthy.

Ditto their main battle tanks. They have only about 100 capable of fighting.

Of six submarines in their navy, six are not seaworthy.

And the Financial Times did a piece not long ago showing that the Germans have little to no intention of meeting NATO spending commitments/targets.

But Trump is the bad guy?

No.

He's the fucking adult in the room telling allies to be real allies and stop sponging off of us.

We've gone over this already.  The partnership and relationship is more important than the money.  He's destroying one at the expense of the other.

this is where diplomacy matters as nations don't like being ridiculed and shamed publicly.  That typically doesn't work just like it would embold our national resolve if it was done to us.

If we were serious about them "sponging" off of us, we'd bring home a lot of our troops and reduce our military footprint abroad.  Especially in GE as we have a huge presence there, stop a lot of the partnership training too.

All of this works into Russia's hands.  The US is at odds with the U.K and the rest of the NATO nations, and the U.K. Is at odds with the rest of the EU...perfect!

Then they should live up to well-known (and serious) obligations and not put themselves in positions to be embarrassed.

And having a defensive alliance with someone who couldn't fend off the Girl Scouts is pretty damned useless.

Pussy-footing around serious problems and not confronting them has gotten us nowhere.
