So this was not a story until he was offered by bama? smh

Locally he has been a story the past few weeks when Michigan, Ohio St, and Notre Dame offered him all in the course of a week or 2.  His profile just skyrocketed overnight it seemed like.  He attends a very small private school 10 mins from my house and really was barely talked about last season.  Just an odd situation.  He went from another mid level / Ivy recruit to a top level national recruit in a snap of a finger out of nowhere.

RB Cullen Coleman is a little bit bigger than the competition.....he most definitely stands out.

Yea I’d say.  They are a tiny private school with a very high tuition playing other tiny private schools of the same nature.  Not too many D-1 sized kids in that league.

Kid plays at a very small school vs not very exciting competition, but a lot of big offers keep rolling in for him....Bama, Michigan, Ohio St., Notre Dame, etc:

Totally on that young man's character if he needs IMG to help feed his ego or not. Of course parents have an ego need as well.

I guess we'll learn whether there arw some weak egos around the kid or not.

Athletics are never the main focus around any student who attends his HS.  It costs  $43K per year to attend and the 20 most popular schools with regard to their graduating classes is as follows, in order:

  1. Cornell University
  2. University of Pennsylvania
  3. Harvard University
  4. New York University
  5. Colgate University
  6. Georgetown University
  7. Washington University in St. Louis
  8. Brown University
  9. Vanderbilt University
  10. Duke University
  11. University of Michigan
  12. University of Southern California
  13. Yale University
  14. Bucknell University
  15. Northwestern University
  16. Stanford University
  17. University of Chicago
  18. Dartmouth College
  19. Princeton University
  20. Tufts University

if he (or any RCDS student for that matter) ever end up at an “Athletic Academy” I would be very surprised.

Northwestern has done well in Mass, too. Joe Gaziano, a starting DE who went to Xaverian, is there and doing well. Blake Gallagher is from Bridgewater and went to St. Sebastian's, and is one of their leading tacklers at LB. His younger brother, Bryce, also a LB, is headed there as a freshman this year.

Did he blow up in a camp at all recently?

When NW was really terrible their academically-superior students used to chant,

"It's alright. It's okay. You're gonna work for us some day."

Hilarious. LOL

Ha, that's what we use to chant at our high school basketball games. Amongst many more chants that I dare not repeat.

Not a camp....seems like the word spread on him from a nearby local coach in the county who had some college connections.  Articles here:

https://www.lohud.com/story/sports/columnists/josh-thomson/2019/02/12/cullen-coleman-football-recruit/2779419002/

2nd article is older before Alabama offered him
