There is a deficit but deeper looking into each and it's easy to understand the Mexican deficit.  Most are for auto parts if I'm not mistaken that is cheaper built in Mexico fit Amercan auto companies.   So now my radiator will be 1500.00.  You're smart bro look into it.

My bicycle ain't failed me yet..

This is just their continuous temper tantrum since 2016. The wall was a major part of the President’ campaign promises and as such, they will resist at all costs.

The crises at the border is a direct result of the leftist doctrine of harassment at all costs. People are being paid to leave their country and gather at the border...why?

then the disingenuous libs here on this site want to talk money...disgusting!

Aaah, don’t forget what we are also in a tariff battle with China.

I really like that Trump is hardball. Despite what you guys all think (want to believe), he’s no dummy.  Down the road, when our kids enter the workforce and have families, our country will be even economically stronger than it is today. Im not short-sighted. I’m willing to make that “sacrifice” for my kids and the future of this country.

Yep. Not to mention that the cartels love that our border patrol is essentially incapacitated dealing with illegal migrants. I wonder if the cartels have anything to do with paying illegals to get to the southern US borde🤔

So you hope.  The truth is he’s not special, none of them are.  History shows tariffs have not always worked out the way we wanted.

Theres a reason he’s bankrupted several businesses. Let’s get real, he’s no savior, he’s just a man who has a revolving door administration, which is not good for stability for any organization.

FEAR MONGERING:

I said awhile back both parties do this BS they appeal to what each party members wants to hear...  And not the good part the bad part.

They get your votes, they get in and then they do nothing...

Wait...

No because Trump spent the better part of his presidency trying to undo everything Obama did instead and then let's not start on the lock her up BS...

Do I think Hillary is a shady woman? Hell yes I think all politicians are shady af I think our whole damn government is shady...

Shit the government is quite possibly a bigger threat than anyone else to us...

But You can't just go around saying "I'm gonna lock her up" without substantial evidence...

Then this ridiculous ass wall that "Mexico" (American Tax Payers) is gonna pay for...

But hey it's obvious that ain't gonna work so you tax Mexico even more and I suppose that's how they're gonna pay for it...

Well let me tell ya that's gonna come back to bite all of us in the nuts...

Even though cartels use legal checkpoints, boat and air passageways to smuggle drugs. I haven’t checked the stats but I’d bet those are the most used methods.

I agree that there is a certain amount of faith that I have in this prez. And You’re right, tariffs haven’t always worked. But I believe that they ultimately will in these cases. He’s filed for BK, but he’s led MANY companies to the promised land as well. I’m not concerned about the revolving door. If somebody's not towing the company line, see ya. Any successful business would do the same. This “door” hasn’t slowed him down one iota despite even the left’s obstructionist tactics. 👍

I guarantee losing Mattis as SECDEF was significant.

The gov is huge and takes time to adjust and realign itself.  You will see the effects of this massive change in time.  He’s not even through one term yet. And that includes these tariffs.  Let’s come back in summer and see how things are going.

Trump had a massive windfall from daddy trump.   he’s far from self made.

George Soros funded South American caravans vs Mexican migrant workers! Barriers work, just look at the walls surrounding your liberal elite! Are they “democrat” proof? No, but stop being covert about your hatred for this President! You guys should be ashamed of how little your lib elected officials have gotten done since being elected! None of you have a legitimate argument for anything as long as YOUR politicians are being obstructionists!

Before the 2018 elections and the Repukes controlled both houses and the White one too boot.  And if immigration was such an issue why didn't they just take money from somewhere and build the dam wall?  Since they were just so sure they could make the Taco Nation pay for it.   Now I'm no Demoncrat either.  But now blaiming those nutjobs just reek of you'll knowing the wall pep rallies were B.S. and you're actually looking for a scapegoat.  If Obama got healthcare passed without Repuking help then what's the excuse?   Obama clearly smarter than the stable genius.

Fair take. I will be the first to admit if all of this doesn’t work. I’m about the country...and humanity...not party.....but I think it’ll work. Trump has definitely upset the apple cart. That’s why I suspect that maybe he’s on to something. He’s surpassing all of the empirical performance measures that presidents are chafes by. Obama would rise to sainthood if he was doing this well. I think it will be for the better down the road once it all settles. Like you said, time will tell.

And the grownup conversation was going so well.  Next Obama is a socialist hell bent on destroying America and all liberals have George Soros pictures in their wallets like the North Koreans wearing Kim IL Sung lapels.  Crazy stuff they come up with.  Trump is a Birther so I understand his followers are locked in.

I know what a trade deficit is...

I'm sure you do too...

Since you are obviously up to speed, and given the monthly/weekly/daily outflow rate....

Well even forgetting about the wall (if you think you can for one moment), you would still have to admit that it is probably something that the leader of any country should be addressing regardless...

....or does that make too much sense? 🤔

Just sayin'

and you can look that up... if you need help on that one  🤣

Let Cooter tell you himself

National Farmers Union: $16 Billion Isn't Enough to Cover Tariff Pain

June 3, 2019

By Rebecca Heilweil

To alleviate farmers' suffering at the hands of retaliatory tariffs from China, the White House has formed a $16 billion trade assistance program, following a similar, $12 billion package that was distributed to farmers last year. But the head of the National Farmers Union says those funds won't be nearly enough, especially given concerns that President Donald's Trump's newest tariffs against Mexico could inspire further retaliation against American agriculture.

"Every year, net farming income has been dropping in this country. And then on top of that, you have all this turmoil that's created by this administration around trade," said Roger Johnson, the president of the National Farmers Union. "It's not that we shouldn't hold China accountable. It's that it seems like we feel like we have to pick fights with every major trading partner around the world, Mexico just being the latest example of that.

Why give the Farmers 12 billion subsidy since they are getting screwed anyway and pay for the wall with it?  Since the right wing guys don't care about $5.00 avocados.  Insist he take it back and build the wall.  Where did he get 12b for them but can't get 5B for the wall?

Your micro analogy for a macro problem is very enlightening. You’re arguing symptoms while ignoring the root of the problem! Either you hate the country and pray for its destruction or you hate the President so much that you’ll argue against everything he wants to accomplish. GFYS to all of you treasonous assholes!

I'm surely not here to fight and argue with anyone.  Too much energy.  But did you feel this way about the previous administration and if so did that make you treasonous or was it patriotism?  Serious questions sir.  And if its the latter how is that defined and by whom is it adjudged? Is General Mattis treasonous as well?
